Emmerdale exit ‘sealed’ as popular star ‘killed off’ and culprit will floor fans

Fans of Emmerdale believe that they’ve uncovered Dawn Fletcher’s death. ITV soap viewers will be well aware that Dawn (played by Olivia Bromley) married Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) back in 2022. The pair subsequently adopted Dawn’s son, Lucas (Noah Ryan Aspinall), and took in Clemmie Reed (Mabel Addison), before welcoming their own son, Evan (Malachi McKenzie), in December 2023.
The couple have encountered numerous obstacles over the years, including baby Evan’s devastating leukaemia diagnosis, and Dawn’s affair with Joe Tate (Ned Porteous). Dawn is now engaged to Joe, with the pair expecting their first child together, while Billy is pursuing a budding romance with Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), reports the Daily Star.

However, Dawn’s upcoming wedding could be thrown into turmoil after Billy attempted to kiss his ex-wife earlier this week. Dawn swiftly recoiled, moments before Joe appeared – but did he see anything?
During Wednesday’s (July 29) episode, now available to stream on ITVX, Joe arranged an impromptu family lunch at The Hide, though even Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) sensed he had an ulterior motive.
Billy and Dawn were apprehensive that Joe intended to confront them, yet the lunch took a wholly unexpected turn. Those gathered were left speechless when Joe invited Billy to serve as one of his groomsmen, though Billy remained uneasy about Joe’s peculiar behaviour.
Joe is already harbouring secrets, having recently enlisted Graham to keep tabs on his uncle Caleb Miligan (William Ash), who is running a criminal underground operation alongside Billy and Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton).

It appears Billy’s suspicions were well-founded, as Joe was subsequently spotted telling Graham that everything was “in hand”.
Now, a number of Emmerdale viewers believe they have cracked the mystery surrounding Dawn’s death, with Caleb potentially being the culprit.
“I got a wild theory that Caleb will be involved in Dawn’s exit. Here is my theory that Joe’s car comes in for a car part at Cain’s garage and Caleb uses one of [the] non-brand car parts to get back at Joe (we know he gets a chance to) but instead of Joe picking up the car it’s Dawn and the car gets in an accident which kills her,” one X (formerly Twitter) user wrote.
Another concurred: “Actually that makes sense cause when they go out for revenge someone else is always caught in the middle.”

A third commented: “I think that’s a good theory!” while another added: “It is very possible! I have thought myself that her exit will be her getting caught in a revenge plot on Joe.”
This follows reports that Dawn actress Olivia Bromley is set to leave the soap, after bosses allegedly decided to write her character out of the show. A source previously told The Sun: “Olivia is adored by everyone at Emmerdale so the decision to axe her has not gone down well at all. She’s a popular member of the cast and if they can get rid of Olivia, then the feeling is virtually no-one is safe.”
The soap and Olivia herself have both yet to confirm the reports.
