Emmerdale Celia Daniels’ next victim ‘revealed’ as legendary villager
Emmerdale icon Sam Dingle has quit his job at Home Farm and worried fans think they've worked out what happens next in a harrowing twist
Emmerdale viewers have been left fearing for one desperate villager as Celia Daniels’ reign of terror continues
Sam ((James Hooton), who first appeared on the ITV soap in 1995, has been working for Kim Tate (Claire King) for years. When Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) returned to the Dales last Christmas, he decided to assign Sam as his new sidekick.
However, the Dingles are in need of a large sum of cash to rewire the house, and Sam stole some Christmas trees that were growing on a Home Farm field to earn quick cash after being scammed.
He realised selling the trees for £50 each would mean they’d get the money relatively quickly. Joe instantly rumbled his scheme and fired Sam, only to give him his job back a short while later.
On Monday (December 8), Sam was trying to enjoy a day off when Joe demanded that he fix a stone wall all by himself.
Sam couldn’t complete the task alone, so he headed to Butlers to ask Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) for some help. As his half-brother, Cain, wasn’t home, Sam opened up to Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) about his struggles.
Matty, who works on his mum Moira’s (Natalie J Robb) farm, could immediately see that Joe was taking advantage of Sam. He told him that Joe could use two workers from Celia Daniels’ (Jaye Griffiths) farm instead of making Sam do an unrealistic job on his day off.
Matty told Sam that if he didn’t say something to Joe about how he was being treated, the situation would drag on.
When Sam returned to Home Farm, a showdown with Joe quickly ensued, and he quit his job.
As Sam’s desperation for money grows, will he become a target for Celia (Jaye Griffiths) and her son, Ray Walters (Joe Abolom)? The evil mother and son are using forced labour on their farm, along with selling drugs.
Local resident Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) has been held captive for months after Ray found the former wrestler living in his car and manipulated him into working on the farm for free.
Emmerdale fans have been taking to X to predict Sam being recruited into Celia’s evil scheme. One person wrote: “Sam is going to work for Ray. Calling it now! #Emmerdale.”
A second stated: “Feel sorry for Sam! #emmerdale”, while a third chimed in: “Sam would be better off being one of Celia’s slaves. #Emmerdale.”
“Sam is going to find Ted E Bear isn’t he. #emmerdale”, asked another.
Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV and ITVX
