Emmerdale Cain Dingle’s hit-and-run driver ‘unveiled’ and it’s someone close to him
Emmerdale fans are certain they know who ran over Cain Dingle with their car.
Cain (Jeff Hordley) has been a staple on the long-running ITV soap for 26 years – making his debut in 2000. As the troublemaking village lothario, Cain has become a firm favourite with fans over the years.
He’s also played a part in several big storylines too. From his romance with cousin Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) to his affair and subsequent relationship with Moira (Natalie J. Robb), his time in the Dales has not been short of drama.
Especially at the moment, as recently, Cain found out that he had an aggressive, yet localised, prostate cancer, after he was shot in the epic Corriedale crossover episode in January.
As well as his cancer diagnosis, Cain has also been dealing with wife Moira’s wrongful imprisonment. This week though, Cain was scheduled to have an operation, amid his cancer battle.
However, in Tuesday’s episode (April 7), things took a seriously dramatic turn when Cain was left for dead after being hit by a car.
The soap teased the identity of the mystery driver as Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton), Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) and Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) were all seen emotional or distracted before speeding off in their own cars.
Cain was standing in the middle of the road, on the phone talking to Moira about his operation, before a car knocked him down, leaving him bleeding and unconscious on the floor. Moira meanwhile was left confused as to why Cain wasn’t still on the phone to her.
And now, fans are certain they know who was behind the wheel. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, viewers have predicted it was Jacob, who has been struggling at work as a medical student due to his bullying boss Dr Todd (Caroline Harker).
