EastEnders villain ‘returns from the d.e.a.d’ in chilling Ravi twist fans didn’t see coming
EastEnders viewers were left shocked as a deceased villain appeared in Wednesday's episode of the BBC soap
EastEnders has shocked viewers with the unexpected return of Nish Panesar in a spine-chilling scene with his son, Ravi Gulati.
As avid watchers of the BBC soap will recall, the villainous Nish (Navin Chowdhry) met his end on January 1, 2025, after being shoved off a hotel balcony by Ravi (Aaron Thiara) in an attempt to m.u.r.d.e.r his ex-wife Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal).
The dramatic event took place at Suki and Eve Unwin’s (Heather Peace) wedding, where a dying Nish was determined to prevent his former wife from tying the knot.
Fast forward a year, and Ravi is once again embroiled in all the drama as he makes a comeback to Walford after masterminding a wicked drug operation involving Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) and Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho).
On Wendesday (January 7), Harry and Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) concocted a scheme to spike Ravi’s drink in a revenge attack.
However, the mother and son duo are unaware that Ravi wasn’t prosecuted for his drug offences as he turned into a police informant, reports OK!.
After being refused permission to attend Eve and Suki’s adoption meeting with the rest of the family, Ravi headed to Harry’s Barn, where he shared a drink with Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker), who had just lost his son Anthony (Nicholas Bailey).
Ravi insisted he was a reformed man and desired a new beginning with his family away from the world of crime, but the Mitchells have other plans.
Pub landlady Nicola seized the chance to offer mourning Patrick a complimentary beverage and decided to extend the same courtesy to Ravi.
Nicola laced Ravi’s drink with a d.e.a.d.l.y amount of drugs and served both Ravi and Patrick their beverages, whilst Harry observed his foe consuming the perilous mixture of narcotics and alcohol.

Before long, Ravi was stumbling out of the pub, colliding with George Knight (Colin Salmon), and making his way towards the Square when an entertained Harry intercepted him.
The garage worker assisted Ravi in walking into The Arches and positioned him in the pit before subjecting him to torment. Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) disrupted Harry by hammering on the door and demanding that he return home to savour a Chinese takeaway following their earlier arrangements.
Although Harry rejected the offer, he was compelled to abandon the workshop and head to Billy’s for a family meal, leaving a terrified Ravi trapped alone in the pit.
Whilst experiencing his delusions, Ravi detected footsteps approaching him before the recognisable voice of his brutal father, Nish, became audible.
Nish menacingly declared, “There is no help here, son”, as Ravi shrieked in terror. Could this mark the start of Ravi’s destruction? Might he experience visions of Nish once more?
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One and iPlayer
