EastEnders star tearfully breaks silence after being axed from the soap as final scenes air
The star bowed out after just 18 months

EASTENDERS star Micah Balfour has become tearful and broken his silence after he was axed from the soap.
The actor – who played Junior Knight in the BBC soap – became emotional as he was given a farewell on set during the filming of his final scenes.
Viewers watched the scenes play out last night.
But behind the scenes Micah’s final moments were caught on camera with producer Ben Wadey paying tribute to him.
His on-screen family including Colin Salmon and Molly Rainford rushed in to hug him before Micah opened up.
He said: “I just did my final scenes on the show.
“It’s been such an amazing honour and privilege for me to be on this show. Growing up this was the show my family sat around to watch so to be a small part of its history is a great honour for me.
“Thank you for sticking by Junior, I know he’s been a character but it’s been a privilege.”
A source previously said: “Bosses decided not to renew Micah’s contract and he filmed his final scenes last month.
“Obviously Micah was gutted but he understands how it all works.
“His final scenes will air before Christmas. The door is being left open.”
But actor Micah isn’t the only star leaving the soap in the coming weeks.
The Sun exclusively revealed how both Bobby Brazier and Molly Rainford will be leaving the show this year.
An EastEnders spokeswoman said previously: “We can confirm that Bobby Brazier will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish him all the best for the future.”
A telly insider revealed: “Bosses had a meeting with Bobby only recently as they had a plan in mind for a storyline, and it just so happened that Bobby was also thinking that now was the right time to look for other opportunities outside the show.
“The timing of the decision worked for both, but his final scenes are not for a while yet.
“The character has had a great run, but the time is now right for Bobby to look for other opportunities, and for EastEnders to wave goodbye to Freddie Slater.”
The BBC also confirmed Molly’s exit, saying: “We can confirm that Molly Rainford will be leaving EastEnders later this year, and we wish her all the best for the future.”
An insider added: “Molly came into the show two years ago, and in that time has been trusted with some great storylines.
“It’s just so happened that when Molly was considering other options in her career, a meeting was held to discuss the future of the character, and both parties were in mutual agreement that it was the right time for Anna Knight to wave goodbye to Walford.”
