EastEnders star Molly Rainford hints at soap return as she discusses exit

EastEnders stars Molly Rainford and Bobby Brazier have left Albert Square as their characters Anna Knight and Freddie Slater go travelling

Tuesday night’s episode of EastEnders saw the departure of two beloved characters from Albert Square, Freddie Slater and Anna Knight.

 

Actors Bobby Brazier and Molly Rainford, who portray Freddie and Anna respectively, bid adieu to the iconic square in the BBC soap’s December 2nd episode, as their characters embarked on a global adventure together.

 

Following her character’s exit, 25 year old Molly, who joined the BBC One soap in 2023, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message accompanied by several photos.

 

Molly wrote: “Your girl Anna Knight is off to [Australia]. I can’t put into words just how wonderful the last few years at @bbceastenders has been.

“Anna’s laughed, cried, worked and lived in the Vic (still surreal), been in a love triangle, been spiked, got pregnant, had tough conversations about Race and her mum came back from the dead. No wonder she needs a break from Walford!”, reports OK!.

“It really is a family, the cast and crew are truly special. I’m gonna miss working alongside them everyday.

“Especially the lovely Knights, Beales and Peacock/Carters. Couldn’t have asked for better people to learn from and laugh with day in and day out.

“I want to thank everyone so much for all the love and support, it means the absolute world. I have so many lovely memories from Albert Square, here’s a handful of the highlights.”

 

She ended her post on a teasing note, adding: “And lets be honest, no one goes travelling forever Love, Molly” followed by a heart and wink emoji.

Jacqueline Jossa, known for her role as Lauren Branning, commented: “Oh Molly! ! You are missed! Can’t wait to see what is next” followed by a heart emoji.

Molly’s fiancé, Tyler West, expressed his pride, writing: “You are just the best so proud of you ! !” accompanied by a heart emoji.

Meanwhile, a fan reminisced: “what a journey! i remember when anna first came onto the square like it was yesterday so proud of you molls xx.”

Another follower shared their admiration: “I’m so proud of you Molly, you have done incredible and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you! ! Good luck beautiful xx.”

A different fan chimed in with: “Can’t wait to see what’s next for you beautiful. So proud.”
