EastEnders’ Nicola rocked by baby news – but fans rumble dark plot development
EastEnders fans were stunned to find out Nicola Mitchell was pregnant on Thursday with George Knight likely the baby's father, but could there be a twist on the BBC soap?
Viewers of EastEnders are speculating two big twists for Nicola Mitchell after a pregnancy bombshell.
The character was left tearful when she held a positive pregnancy test on Thursday, with it clear it was her own. Fans immediately speculated her recent flame George Knight was the father, while it’s not clear what will happen next.
That said, fans are convinced a dramatic plot could be about to unfold amid trouble with her son Harry Mitchell. Harry was caught up in drug dealing and storing thanks to Ravi and Okie recently, and a lie to protect his friend Kojo and George led to him being kidnapped.
He was only let go this week when he nearly died, while Ravi and Okie have still been caught up in the drugs scandal. Now, some fans think Nicola’s weird behaviour could be a sign that she is more involved with the hang, after previously getting Ravi to sell drugs for her
One theory speculates it all leads back to her, and that perhaps the drug operations involving Ravi and the others are run by her, with her being “the big boss”. A viewer asked: “Imagine if Nicola is the big boss.”
So might Nicola be in big trouble, or does the baby bombshell explain her behaviour? It seems next week her antics spark concern, but whether she will tell anyone the truth remains to be seen.
Another theory linked to the baby plot is that George might not be the dad. Some viewers are questioning if her ex Teddy Mitchell could be the dad and maybe they slept together in secret.
Other fans didn’t have a name in mind of who the dad could be, but agreed it might not be George. Fans are unsure if Nicola will keep the baby or not, while some viewers claimed to have seen a backstage clip that hinted she will have the baby.
It comes as the drug storyline with Harry takes a dark turn next week when Okie gets stabbed. George and son Junior try to support Kojo, but he manages to sneak off and heads back to his flat. He’s confronted by Okie though. who threatens him and wants to know what he told the police.
When he instructs him to text Harry, Harry soon arrives unaware of the trap and a fight breaks out. As Okie threatens Kojo with a knife, Harry rushes over and in the showdown he accidentally stabs Okie – will he survive?
