EastEnders might have a hot new romance on the Square, and for once, it does not include Max Branning, the Womaniser of Walford. Fans thought Max and Priya Nandra-Hart might get together after the two interacted at the New Year, but she seems set for another man.
Priya (Sophie Khan Levy) is currently the on-off girlfriend of Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara). The two have been on the rocks since it was revealed that Ravi was responsible for their son, Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury), being put in the hospital, and only got worse this week when it was revealed that he was snitching on his drug bosses to the police.
In tonight’s episode (11 February), Priya learnt that Ravi now had to contend with another member of the drugs gang being on the Square – Mark Fowler Jr (Stephen Aaron-Sipple). In an attempt to get closer to Mark and see if he was onto Ravi, Priya crashed his drink with his sister Vicki (Alice Haig). Whether this was part of her plan or a coincidence, Priya and Mark’s conversation, including how many Valentine’s Day cards she used to get, was very flirty.

Fans took to the internet to share what they thought of the budding romance. “I bet it isn’t going to be long before she is having a fling with Mark,” one said.
Another added that they hoped this was the case, as Mark might be a better partner than Ravi. “We can be thankful that Mark isn’t bad to the core so she probably won’t be in danger from him,” they said. “Maybe he’d even treat her better than Ravi. I hope she gets at least a good s*** with Mark out of this. I can see her becoming more of a target to Ravi and Mark’s bosses, the more she gets involved, though.”
A. third said that they were hoping for Mark and Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) to get together, but were fine with it being Priya instead: “I want Mark and Chelsea but it seems were leading towards Mark and Priya which isn’t bad.”

Both Priya and Chelsea were among the women fans who thought might end up with Max Branning (Jake Wood). In the New Year’s flashforward, Max was not only marrying a mystery woman but was in bed with another, who seemed to be pregnant.
Sharing their theories on social media in reply to the preview, fans noticed the pregnant woman appeared to sigh. One fan said: “Sounds like Chelsea that does.”
Another view agreed: “Sounds like Chelsea,” as a third said: “Honestly it kinda sounds like Chelsea sighing.” A further comment read: “That’s Chelsea sighing.”
The comments kept on coming too with another reading: “Gotta be Chelsea, she’s not been in a big story line for a while.” One fan said: “Priya or Chelsea definitely involved!”
Another said: “That sounded like Chelsea,” as a fan admitted: “Oh, that sounds like Chelsea!” A final comment said: “That’s got to be Chelsea in bed with Max Branning in 2027.”
