EastEnders’ Jasmine flees Walford after Max exposes her DARK secret — a revelation so terrifying it leaves everyone SHOCKED
EastEnders' Jasmine Fisher has spent most of 2026 terrified that her dark secret would be revealed to the other Walford residents and planned to escape with boyfriend Oscar Branning
Tonight’s EastEnders was filled with twists and turns, as Jasmine Fisher fled Albert Square, while nemesis Max Branning revealed her dark secret to her grandmother, Kat Slater.
During the episode airing on 27 January, Jasmine was not seen once. Rather, her boyfriend Oscar Branning, got a text telling him she was “better off alone”.
The two had been planning to escape Walford together, but were struggling to find the cash. Jasmine had managed to scam some out of her grandfather Patrick Trueman but, at Oscar’s insistence, returned the money. Following her decision to do the right thing, she appeared to skip town.
Her desire to leave was fuelled by a fear that the Square would find out she had k.i.l.l.e.d her father, Anthony Trueman. Though she did it in self defence, she has so far let her mother, Zoe Slater take the fall.
Jasmine convinced her grandmother Kat, who never believed Zoe k.i.l.l.e.d Anthony, that the evil Chrissie Watts had m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d him and only agreed to go to the police to get Kat off her back. Or rather, she pretended to agree.
Max, Oscar’s father, previously discovered from his policeman brother Jack that Jasmine never gave a statement and has been lying to Kat. After she ran away from the Slaters, Max told an incredulous Kat what he knew about Jasmine, shocking her completely.
Fans were relieved that Max spilled the beans. One said: “So glad Max told Kat she lied about going to the police. I’m glad Max is looking out for Oscar as he seems to let him down the most.” They added that they weren’t sure Jasmine was gone for good. “I feel like she hasn’t left the country as she has no money so will return soon.”
“Jasmine has run away, don’t threaten me with a good time,” said another, who was excited to see the back of the teenager. A third added that they hoped this would bring Kat “closer to the truth”.
They said: “So Jasmine just goes AWOL and we don’t see the moment she leaves. At least Kat now knows about the exit plan and Jasmine not going to the police. She’s getting closer to the truth.”
