EastEnders confirms who exposes Max and Priya’s affair – it’s not who you were thinking
EastEnders spoilers follow for Wednesday’s (August 5) episode, which can now be streamed on BBC iPlayer. The episode in question will air at 7:30pm.
Max Branning (Jake Wood) and Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) will have some explaining to do after they were caught together by the most unexpected of Walford characters.
The co-workers have been carrying on behind the back of Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), who reckons she’s finally met the man of her dreams in resident lothario Max.
In her defence, they are perfect for each other on paper. Max and Cindy’s penchant for self-sabotage, chaos and destruction have made them a double act worthy of the big screen, with their dynamic proving one of the best in recent soap memory.
But Max being Max wasted little time in playing with fire as, despite being happily engaged to Cindy, he embarked on an affair with Priya.
Priya has toyed with exposing their dalliance to Cindy on numerous occasions but has thus far refrained from doing so. In fact, she stopped their affair in its tracks upon Ravi Galati’s (Aaron Thiara) return to the Square.
But with weeks having passed since then, Priya and Max reignited their passion in recent scenes, sneaking to the flat Max shares with Cindy for some afternoon fun.
Little did they know, however, that Cindy had paid Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) to clean up said flat for her. Jean has been struggling to raise the money to pay her rent and thus jumped at the opportunity for more cash – but she got more than she bargained for upon her arrival at the property.
Overhearing giggling from the bedroom, Jean wondered if she had walked in on something she shouldn’t. As a result, she packed up her cleaning material and made a beeline for the door – but it was too late.
Priya exited the bedroom to spot Jean and, surprised to see one another, the two held each other’s gaze momentarily, not really knowing how to react. Soon after, Jean made her escape.
The question is: just what does she intend to do with her discovery?
Is Cindy set to uncover the truth about Priya’s dalliance with Max? Will Jean feel compelled to tell Cindy about what she has uncovered?
