Best Laid Plans? Sistas Trailer Hints at Betrayal, Secrets & Major Fallout

IMPENDING HIT?! Season 10, Episode 9 Just Raised the Stakes on Sistas
“Why are you in my house?”
“You’re about to enter hostile territory.”
“We’ve received intel of an impending hit on you.”
That 15-second promo for next week was short — but it packed a punch.
We’re heading into Season 10, Episode 9, titled “Visiting Hours” (and remember, after this episode, only TWO more remain before hiatus). Let’s break down what we actually saw — and what it could mean.
Andy, Vaughn… and a Disappointing Twist?
The synopsis teased that during a quiet dinner with Dr. Vaughn, Andy locks eyes with a familiar face across the room, setting off uneasy encounters and buried truths.
For weeks, many of us were convinced that familiar face had to be Dr. Cruz.
But based on the promo?
It looks like it’s just Hayden.
We see Hayden and Cheyenne approach Andy and Vaughn’s table. Hayden, smug as always. Andy delivers the line:
“I don’t believe you’ve been properly introduced.”
And then — “Don’t you see the resemblance?”
That Barnes reveal? That was actually a solid moment. Cheyenne Barnes. The family connection becomes undeniable. Casting-wise, they nailed it.
Now, Vaughn stands up and says, “I’m asking you to leave.”
Translation? Hayden probably ran his mouth one time too many.
Still… I can’t lie. If this whole “familiar face” buildup was just Hayden and not Cruz? That’s soda-can-flat levels of disappointment.
But here’s the thing:
Just because Hayden shows up first doesn’t mean Cruz won’t appear later.
Agent Watt Drops a Bombshell
Back at the penthouse, Agent Watt shows up unannounced.
“We’ve got intel of an impending hit on you.”
That escalated FAST.
Now the big question: Who ordered it?
-
Gary revenge arc?
-
Cruz retaliation?
-
Some third party we’re not seeing?
At this point, I’m almost afraid to speculate too deeply because every time we think it’s going to be something major… it turns out to be a misdirect.
Still, a confirmed hit changes everything.
Danny’s Storyline: Is That Officer Green at the Door?
Danny finally told her therapist that the man who assaulted her was a cop.
That’s huge.
The next morning, someone is banging on her door. We see the back of a police officer. Is it Officer Green?
It could be.
And interestingly, Episode 10’s synopsis mentions Danny struggling to stay away from Officer Green — which suggests we might already be looking at next week’s cliffhanger.
Possibilities:
-
Green confronts her directly.
-
The therapist reported signs of abuse.
-
Or Green is escalating because he senses she’s pulling away.
Either way, this storyline is approaching a boiling point.
Fatima in Full Gangster Mode (While Pregnant)
Now let’s talk about the most explosive scene of the promo.
Fatima kicks in a door looking for Luther — the guy connected to the explosive planted under Andy’s Rolls-Royce.
“I heard about you and explosives. Who told you to put one on the bottom of that Rolls-Royce?”
Badass scene? Absolutely.
But here’s my issue:
She’s pregnant.
I don’t care how many backup men are outside. I don’t care how orchestrated it is. This is risky.
After everything in Zatima Season 3 where she was on Zach about reckless behavior — now she’s storming houses?
Yes, she’s trying to prevent further danger. Yes, she’s protecting Andy. But it still feels reckless given her condition.
Visually epic. Logically questionable.
Is Cruz Still in Play?
Here’s where things get interesting.
If a hit has truly been ordered… that could actually complicate the “Cruz is the villain” theory.
What if he’s not the mastermind?
What if the show is setting him up as the obvious suspect only to reveal someone else?
Because an impending hit + the explosion storyline + Cruz’s hospital controversy = a web that may not be as straightforward as we think.
Final Thoughts
This promo may have only been 15 seconds, but it set up:
-
A possible assassination plot against Andy
-
Danny potentially confronting Officer Green
-
Fatima going rogue to track down the bomber
-
Vaughn nearly throwing hands with Hayden
And we’re only three episodes away from hiatus.
If Episode 9 delivers even half of what it’s teasing, this could be the turning point Season 10 desperately needs.
Now the real question:
Who ordered the hit?
Because once that name drops…
everything changes.
