Everything you need to know about Beyond Paradise’s replacement
- Beyond Paradise season four is set to be replaced this week by not one but two programmes. The first will be a special hour-long edition of Question Time at 7.30pm on Friday, May 8, presented by Fiona Bruce.
- This particular episode of Question Time is a post-election debate special “with a panel of politicians and other guests facing questions from the audience”. This will then be followed by an extraordinary programme entitled David Attenborough’s 100 Years on Planet Earth at 8.30pm on BBC One.
- Filmed at the Royal Albert Hall, the 90-minute live event will celebrate the much-loved TV legend’s 100th birthday. The official log line for the programme reads: “The show takes the audience on a journey of exploration and discovery through the prism of Sir David’s extraordinary life and career, featuring wildlife stories, reflections from friends, colleagues and admirers.”
- Viewers can also look forward to live music from some of Attenborough’s most beloved programmes, performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra on the evening. Ahead of these special broadcasts, fans tuned in for the concluding episode of Beyond Paradise season four, which turned out to be a deeply emotional affair.
- Zoe (played by Melinda Sinadinou) departed from her mother Esther (Zahra Ahmadi) and Shipton Abbott to embark on her travels, though the latter was fortunately able to lower her defences at last and reconcile with Archie (Jamie Bamber). Meanwhile, Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) was mercifully spared from leaving the police force after superior James Smith’s (Vincent Franklin) dubious schemes were uncovered, exposing his intention to divert funds to another police station owing to his clandestine affair with DI Janet Wilson.
