April’s fate ‘sealed’ in Emmerdale as fans uncover secret saviour behind d.e.a.d.l.y revenge plan

Emmerdale fans are convinced they’ve figured out who will save April Windsor.

Soap watchers will recall that only recently, April and her boyfriend Dylan Penders have found themselves controlled by Ray Walters and his mother Celia Daniels as they pay off their supposed “debts”, which is actually all a scam to groom them into dealing drugs.

In recent episodes, Celia was exposed as the criminal mastermind orchestrating the area’s drugs network run by Ray, unveiling a considerably more sinister aspect to her persona.

Exhibiting her controlling temperament, Celia struck the teenage April and delivered a harsh ultimatum regarding the regulations of drug dealing.

This scene came after an episode where April’s sibling Leo was hospitalised following his consumption of an ecstasy tablet that April had accidentally misplaced whilst travelling to encounter Ray.

Celia warned April that her life was in danger unless she deceived the authorities about how she obtained the banned narcotics, a requirement the schoolgirl swiftly agreed to.

As things get even more sinister, Friday’s episode delivered harrowing scenes. During the latest episode, Ray told April that he was sending her on another job, pressuring her into taking the job or he’ll sell her debt.

Ray drove April to a hotel, giving her cocaine for a ‘valuable client’ and telling her to have a drink. As April nervously arrived, Ray’s creepy client, Tim, was left delighted as he accepted the cocaine and tried to pressure April into taking the drug, as well as having vodka. Soon April found herself trapped in a bedroom with Tim…

Meanwhile, at the same time, Dawn Fletcher opened up to Joe Tate about her own distressing history. Dawn’s background mirrors April’s present circumstances and as she courageously recounted her previous ordeals and pledged to safeguard her daughter, Clemmie, it provided a voiceover to April’s scenes.

Thankfully, a quick thinking April managed to escape just in time but it wasn’t long until Celia caught up with her and gaslit her over the incident.

With Friday’s episode focusing on April and Dawn, soap watchers are hoping that Dawn can be the one to save April as she may recognise what the teenager is going through.

Taking to social media, one person said: “Well I really liked that episode I’m hoping Dawn will be the one who saves April” to which another wrote: “That’s what I was thinking as well”, a different fan put: “Could Dawn be the 1 to save April then do we reckon?” while another viewer added: “Yes I am hoping so!!”

Elsewhere, some viewers think April could even get revenge on Ray and Celia by setting them up. One person said: “I think April will confide in someone and then set Ray and Celia up”.
