EastEnders fans ‘know’ who father of Zoe’s babies is – and it’s not Max

Viewers think they know which character will be revealed as the father of Zoe Slater’s babies in EastEnders.

In a sad flashback twist, we learned Zoe given birth to twins in 2006 and it was suggested one of the babies, a girl, sadly d.i.e.d. Zoe then left her newborn baby boy behind, fleeing after saying she wanted him to be adopted.

It’s possible that Zoe was pregnant when she left Walford given she left in June 2005, and gave birth at some point in 2006. More will be revealed about the pregnancy and who the father was at some point.

But fans think they have already figured out who the father of the twins is. It’s not known what happened to the little boy, amid theories he could be Walford teen Joel Marshall.

It also isn’t confirmed if Zoe was secretly or unknowingly pregnant when she left the show. Fans are now predicting the father with many fans convinced they have worked it out.

Going off of the timings and events in Walford, some fans believe Den Watts is the father. Zoe had fallen pregnant after sleeping with Den but she had an abortion.

Some fans are are now wondering if Zoe didn’t have the abortion or ended up having Den’s babies. Taking to X one fan said: “If anything it’s Den’s baby.” Another said: “Wait is Dirty den the dad.”

A third fan posted: “Zoe Slater is the mother of twins by Den Watts, and one of them is d.e.a.d.” Another added: “No way she had Den’s baby???? No way right????” A further post read: “Is that Den’s baby?.”

Other fans simply couldn’t work out who might be the dad. A fan wrote: “I WONDER WHO THE FATHER IS OF ZOE’S TWINS??????” Meanwhile another viewer commented: “Max is the father.”

Another theory was that her ex Anthony Trueman was the dad after his reaction to seeing Zoe again. One fan said: “Anthony Truman is the father, didn’t they have a fling?.” A fan added: “Those an Anthony’s kids.”

It comes after the shock return of Max Branning which aired on Wednesday. At the end of the episode it was made clear that Max and Zoe somehow knew each other, despite never having shared a scene together on t he soap.

Max joined in 2006, the year after Zoe left. It’s not yet clear how they know each other and why he would have called her, but all will be revealed soon ahead of Max’s big return to Walford.
