Emmerdale has unveiled a gripping new trailer hinting at the brutal demise of Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), though devoted viewers reckon a beloved resident might come to his rescue.
Regular watchers of the ITV drama will recall that Mackenzie is Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J Robb) sibling, having joined the cast in October 2020. Since then, he’s weathered numerous storms, not least his union with village stalwart Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).
In upcoming episodes, Mack finds himself in the crosshairs of m.u.r.d.e.r.e.r John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) as his deceptions surrounding Nate Robinson’s (Jurell Carter) demise begin to unravel. The preview clip, shared on Emmerdale’s Instagram page, shows Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) revealing his getaway strategy to his relieved spouse.

Aaron tells John: “All we have to do is pack our bags and we leave the village”. Yet escaping the Dales won’t prove straightforward for the paramedic, as a confrontation with Mack leads to a startling revelation.
The trailer shows Mack desperately fleeing through woodland after John challenges him about what he’s uncovered. “I’m guessing you’ve joined up the dots,” John declares ominously, reports Belfast Live.
Terror fills Mack’s face as John looms above him clutching a massive stone. Despite Mack’s desperate appeals, it appears John has found his latest target as he seemingly brings the rock crashing down towards Mack’s skull.
“Guess I really am the bad guy,” John delivers as the preview concludes. Could this truly spell the end for Mackenzie Boyd?

Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Mack will be rescued by Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), who has grown increasingly wary of his brother John’s dodgy behaviour.
Fans have flocked to social media with their theories, with one person posting: “Here’s a spoiler for ya! Robert saves Mack from John and they began a secret love affair! ! Hahaha I’d love it! ! ! Mack is hot! ! .”
Another fan responded: “That’d certainly be more interesting than the catastrophically boring relationship between John and Aaron.”
A third viewer predicted: “I don’t think he will d.i.e.”
