With Jimmy King, Dawn Taylor and Joe Tate fighting for their lives on Emmerdale, there could be clues as to who dies.
Perhaps recent reports about a character being killed off give away who the victim is. The closing moments of Wednesday’s episode appeared to show three characters lifeless following a crash.
Joe and Jimmy both looked in pretty bad shape, while Dawn was also unconscious in the background. Amid speculation that Joe will be killed off, there’s rumours Jimmy is bowing out soon in a death twist – and the latest episode may have confirmed dark fates for one of them.
We saw Joe motionless on the ground, trapped under debris. Jimmy was lifeless behind the wheel of his car, having just crashed into the tent, while the reason for this has not been shared.

So, does pregnant Dawn survive the big week, but loses her partner Joe? Could this be the shock death teased and might it lead to a grief-stricken Dawn leaving for good?
Then there’s Jimmy, with actor Nick Miles written out of the show according to reports. With claims he will be killed off, does this cliffhanger confirm that this is how Jimmy dies?
Fans certainly think so with one saying: “Not the ending I expected for poor Jimmy.” Another fan said: “OMG JIMMY HAS KILLED JOE,” as a third fan wrote: “If this is how jimmy dies i am SO disappointed.”
That said, Joe’s future may have been revealed in a cryptic spoiler shared exclusively with the Mirror. Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw told us recently that a big 2027 plot had been planned.

She teased that a current storyline was about to escalate, and it would be this plot that would continue and escalate into the next year. Laura was discussing the dangerous feud between Joe and his uncle Caleb Miligan.
Laura told us that the wedding aftermath would see Caleb and Joe feuding once more. She hinted it would get worse, and told us this would continue into the next year, meaning 2027, amid some “gothic” autumn content for the Tates.
Laura told us: “I mean, they’re still talking about the kidney! Let it go, let it go now. Obviously as we can see in the run-up to the wedding, that feud becomes bigger and bigger.
“And certainly, what I can say is off the back of the wedding, there’s going to be… that chasm is going to open even wider between those two. It will be one of our kind of big stories, certainly through the rest of this year and into next year.” SO, does that confirm Joe lives?
