EastEnders’ pregnancy CONFIRMED after weeks of speculation – and mystery in flashforward episode
A PREGNANCY on Albert Square has been confirmed in EastEnders after weeks of viewer speculation.
For the last few weeks, fans have been sure that Priya Nandra-Hart is pregnant – and they were bang on the money.
Finally revealed in Wednesday night’s early release episode, fans found out that Priya, played by Sophie Khan Levy, is in fact pregnant.
The father of Priya’s baby is likely Max Branning, whom she has been having a steamy affair with recently – but it’s still not confirmed who the child’s dad is.
Taking a pregnancy test at the end of tonight’s episode, Priya can be seen sitting on the toilet finding out her fate.
Fans had long thought Priya was pregnant due to the type of clothing she has been wearing lately.
The mum of Avani and Nugget, whom she shares with longtime love interest Ravi Gulati, is known for wearing skimpy outfits, tight-fitting jeans, and miniskirts.
But recently Priya has been rocking baggy shirts and oversized garments, which were a far cry from her usual personal style.
Fans rejoiced as they finally found out about her pregnancy.
On Reddit, one person penned: “And the award for the least shocking twist ever goes to: Pregnant Priya.”
On X, someone else said: “How has it taken Priya this long to suspect she might be pregnant when she’s been showing for quite some time now?”
While a third person speculated: “Why do I get the feeling that Priya will realise she’s carrying Ravi’s baby but he gets killed off at the end of the year in the conclusion of the Flashforward?”
This comes after The Sun on Sunday revealed Aaron Thiara’s exit from the soap as Ravi.
A telly source said: “Aaron has been at the centre of the some of the soaps biggest storylines since his arrival as bad-boy Ravi back in 2022.
“He’s an incredibly popular member of the cast and the fans love him.
“He’s decided to focus on new projects, but will stay on set until the end of the year to see out some juicy storylines his character has in store.”
Once the news of Ravi’s exit emerged, fans were quick to speculate what it might mean for the flashforward episode.
Taking to X, one person speculated: “Ravi is definitely the gunman in the Flashforward now we know that he’s leaving – not that it was obvious anyway as Priya is obviously the pregnant woman in Max’s bed.
“I really hope Ravi doesn’t get killed off because it would be such a waste of flawed and complex character.
“I would prefer for him to go back to prison where the door is left open for another possible return in the future.
“The thought of Priya possibly giving birth to Max Branning’s baby in 2027 and being tied down to him for good is making me feel violently ill.”
