A man was able to scale a fence to get into the set of EastEnders and spent more than 30 minutes walking around and filming inside before fleeing from security.

The intruder was a YouTuber who goes by Mr Airborne and describes himself as an urban explorer. He freely walked around the TV show’s Albert Square set in broad daylight before entering a number of buildings, including The Queen Vic pub, the Minute Mart, Mitchell’s garage and the Bridge Street Cafe.

The man was even able to get on the roof of the Queen Vic, as well as other buildings before he ran into an employee. He later headed inside Beale’s Plaice fish and chip shop, where he filmed himself wearing a costume usually worn by one of the show’s characters, before making his way inside Walford’s newest restaurant Knight Fusion.

He also made his way into one of the Square’s famous homes before walking around inside. Eventually, the intruder spotted by a worker before running away and successfully getting back out of the set by scaling the same fence he had entered over.

The man uploaded a video of his antics to YouTube and wrote in the caption: “I snuck into the EastEnders filming set. In this episode, I head to Albert Square and manage to sneak into the famous EastEnders filming set!

“I explore some of the show’s most iconic locations, including: The Queen Vic, the chippy, Phil Mitchell’s Garage… and plenty more areas behind the scenes.

“But things don’t go to plan… While inside Phil Mitchell’s Garage, I spot security searching for me, forcing me to make a quick escape before getting caught! This was one of the most surreal explores I’ve ever done, walking through the streets of one of Britain’s most famous TV sets completely empty.”

The man also added a disclaimer saying he made the video for “entertainment and documentary purposes”. He urged his fans to “respect private property and never trespass or attempt to recreate what you see in this video”.

In the video, Mr Airborne also revealed that this isn’t the first time he’s snuck onto the EastEnders set. He started the video by saying: “I am about to try something I did four years ago. I’m going to try to sneak back into the EastEnders set right here.

“I did it live last time and I didn’t get anything good. I got a live stream but the footage wasn’t the best, so this time I’m going to pre-record it.”

After the YouTuber was spotted by security, his race to get out of the set was described by his fans as nerve-racking. One said: “I’d be pooping my pants with nerves.” Another added that their “adrenaline was rushing” while a third joked that the video should have ended with the classic EastEnders doof doof.

A rep for EastEnders was approached for comment and told the Mirror: “We never comment on security matters”.
