Jack P Shepherd’s wife gives birth and couple reveal ‘gorgeous’ name
Jack P Shepherd, who has played David Platt on ITV soap Coronation Street since 2000, has announced the arrival of his fourth child and co-stars have rushed to congratulate him

Jack P Shepherd has become a dad for the fourth time. The Coronation Street star, 38, who has played David Platt on the ITV soap since 2000, tied the knot with Hanni Treweek just under a year ago and they announced they were expecting their first child in February.
On Sunday, Jack, who already has three children, including two with ex-girlfriend Lauren Shippey, took to social media to announce that the little one had arrived and was born at home.
In a joint post, the couple wrote on Instagram: “Constance Ita Shepherd[heart emoji] Our beautiful baby girl has arrived, born peacefully at home, surrounded by love.” The post also revealed that their daughter had actually arrived on Friday.

Several of Jack’s Corrie co-stars rushed to the comments section to react to the happy news. Paddy Bever, who played David’s adoptive son Max Turner, simply left a red heart emoji.
Sally Dynevor, who has played Sally Metcalfe for 40 years, said: “Oh wonderful, so happy for you, what a beautiful name. Love to you all.” Samia Longchambon, who plays hairdresser Maria connor said: “Amazing! Huge congratulations guys.”
Georgia Taylor, who made her debut as Toyah Battersby nearly 30 years ago, said: “Oh darling! So thrilled for you both and what a beautiful name.” Natalie Anderson, who previously starred in Emmerdale before joining Coronation Street, said: “Aww beautiful!! Congratulations you guys.”
Georgia May Foote, who enjoyed a stint on Strictly Come Dancing after leaving her role as Katy Armstrong said: “Congratulations!” EastEnders icon Patsy Palmer, who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother with Jack, said: “Congratulations both of you.”
Fans were also quick to pile into the comments section of his post as they sent their well-wishes to the Celebrity Big Brother winner.

One fan said: “Congratulations to you both – what a gorgeous name xx,” another said: “What a name and what a date to be born,” and a third wrote: “Huge congratulations to you both. Welcome to the world Constance!”
Posting a sweet video online, when they inititally announced the pregnant, Jack wrote: “We’ve been keeping a secret…June 2026. He added: “thank you so much to the dream team who made this so special for us.” The couple could be seen smiling as they posted for a pregnancy photo shoot..
Jack met Hanni when she worked behind the scenes on the show. They tied the knot in July 2025 in Manchester, after Jack popped the question on safari a year earlier.
The couple’s friends were quick to express their joy at the news, with Emmerdale actor Danny Miller reacting to the announcement. “Congratulations guys,” he wrote alongside a heart-face emoji. Catherine Tyldesley gushed: “Congratulations beautiful people.” Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt, Jack’s on-screen sister, on the cobbles, wrote: “Amazing.”
The pair tied the knot in front of family and friends including their Coronation Street pals. Helen Worth, who played David Platt’s mum Gail, was in attendance at his big day alongside his on-screen siblings – Ben Price (Nick Tisley) and Tina O’Brien (Sarah Platt).
