“If this is really goodbye, it changes everything…” — A devastating death twist leaves viewers convinced Vinny’s fate has already been decided
Vinny Dingle is said to be leaving Emmerdale village after seven years, and fans have now ‘worked out' his heartbreaking exit storyline

Devastated Emmerdale fans are certain they know how Vinny Dingle is leaving the soap – and it’s bad news. Vinny (Bradley Johnson) has been a staple on screens for years. As the adopted son of Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), Vinny has become a firm favourite and beloved character on the soap.
He’s also played a part in several big storylines over the years – from his troubled relationship with his biological father, Paul Ashdale (Reece Dinsdale), to the heartbreaking death of his wife, Liv (Isobel Steele). And in recent months, after struggling with his sexuality, Vinny started dating his first-ever boyfriend, Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches). Since then, the pair have gone from strength to strength.

However, earlier this year it was reported that Vinny is set to leave the soap after seven years. An Emmerdale source said: “Bradley is a very popular member of the cast and especially close with his on-screen Dingle family. Everyone is shocked that bosses decided to axe him but it’s all part of the ITV cuts and they still need to trim back the cast.”
And now, fans have ‘worked out’ his exit storyline in a heartbreaking death twist. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, reacting to Vinny’s ‘axe’ one person mused: “Who else thinks they’ll kill him off?” Another added: “Most likely.” A third chimed in: “I’d like him and Lewis to have a happy ending but we know that won’t happen.” Someone else wrote: “Yes, probably another character to be murdered or something.”

If Vinny does leave the village, he will be one of several characters set for a soap exit. In March, it was reported Olivia Bromley, who plays Dawn Taylor, had been axed.
And in May, reports suggested that village legend Jimmy King actor Nick Miles had also been let go from the ITV soap after over 20 years and will reportedly be killed off.
A source told The Sun: “Bosses are under pressure to cut costs and sadly that means popular cast members being told their time is up. They also claimed: “Once the decision was made that Nick would be leaving, the writers quickly realised his character wouldn’t abandon his wife and children so they had to kill him off.” Reach contacted ITV at the time for comment.
Emmerdale airs Monday to Friday at 8:00pm on ITV1 and ITVX
