EastEnders Chelsea Fox has made a terrible admission about her son Jordan, which fans fear Ian Beale will use against her. In tonight’s episode of the BBC soap, Chelsea broke down in tears when Ian, who had run over her son, visited the hospital.
During the episode, Chelsea and Ian finally spoke about what happened to Jordan. Just after hearing Jordan say that his legs “felt funny”, Chelsea rushed out into the hallway to hide her tears, only to see Ian coming in with a teddy bear and chocolates.
Ian tried to apologise for hitting Jordan with his car and explained again that he had one drink and thought he’d hit a bin. But Chelsea couldn’t cope and and started to blame herself.

The two started to argue and Chelsea eventually collapsed into Ian’s arms, telling him that if she hadn’t shouted at Jordan, he wouldn’t have run away. She said the accident was all her fault because she scared him.
While Ian tried to convince Chelsea that it wasn’t her fault, fans are worried that he will use what Chelsea said against her, especially as he is facing a criminal charge for dangerous driving.
One fan said: “The scenes with Chelsea and Ian were really touching but come on…..Ian is going to use what Chelsea said to get off somehow isn’t he?”
Another added: “He can use it to paint Chelsea as a bad mother and Jordan as a reckless kid.” A third said: “I can’t help but feel Ian’s going to use Chelsea’s admission that she felt to blame/that she shouted at Jordan against her to save his own skin. I really hope not but Ian has despicable moments sometimes and I wouldn’t be surprised.”

Some hoped that it was instead a sign of a growing friendship between the two that might lead to Chelsea helping Ian. One fan said: “I wonder if Chelsea will speak up in Ian’s defence. Maybe not legally, because he was over the limit, but speak up for him to the community.”
Another asked: “Could this interaction suggest that Ian and Chelsea are pretty close friends by the time the flashforward happens?” In the flashforward, Ian is not in prison.
Ian has been ostracised by much of the community for what happened to Jordan. Following the accident, which occurred on the night of Vicki Fowler and Ross Marshall’s wedding, Ian had one drink and then tried to take his mum, Kathy, home. Kathy was very drunk and tried to take the wheel, causing the car to suddenly lurch backwards.
When it reversed, it hit something. Assuming it was a bin, Ian drove off – but it turned out to be Jordan, who had fled the wedding when his mum, Chelsea, shouted at him for getting in the way of her flirting with one of the guests.
Ian was later arrested by police who used a breathalyser on him. The test came back showing Ian was over the limit despite only having one drink.
