REVEALED: Who really poisoned Kim Tate — and when the motive is ‘revealed,’ it will shock you
Emmerdale icon Kim Tate remains unconscious in hospital after she was poisoned as eagle-eyed fans solve the 'whodunnit'.

Emmerdale legend Kim Tate has been rushed to the hospital after being poisoned, but who did it?
During Monday’s (March 30)trip to the Dales, Kim (Claire King) wanted to build bridges with the Dingles and headed to Wishing Well for a dinner party hosted by close pal Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick).
After all of the fighting between the Dingles and Tates recently, Lydia believed sitting around the table and actually behaving like adults would allow them all to put their ongoing feud to bed, but it’s only made the situation worse.
While Lydia got to work preparing the meal, which included mushrooms foraged by Sam Dingle (James Hooton), Chas and Cain Dingle (Lucy Pargeter and Jeff Hordley) couldn’t resist dropping jokes about getting rid of Kim for good.
Meanwhile, over at Home Farm, Kim was getting ready for the occasion when Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) and Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) aired their concerns about her attending the Dingels on her own. But Kim believed nothing bad would happen to her because Lydia would be present.

Back at the cottage, Caleb Miligan (William Ash) and his wife, Ruby (Beth Cordingly), arrived with bottles of wine in their hands just before Kim made an appearance.
Things got off to a rocky start with Kim and the family, but eventually they seemed to be finding common ground and moving forward from their disputes.
After dessert, which was an apple turnover, Kim began to make a speech before she suddenly started struggling to breathe, leaving the Dingles concerned. As she coughed and spluttered, Kim collapsed seconds later and was rushed into hospital.
Resident doctor Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) was on hand to assist Kim in the A&E department, and eventually told the likes of Lydia, Gabby, and Graham that Kim’s symptoms lined up with mushroom poisoning.
It was a puzzling conclusion as everyone else ate the same mushrooms and was absolutely fine. Graham started to suspect that someone had specifically switched Kim’s mushrooms for poisonous ones.

Emmerdale fans instantly rushed to social media to predict the culprit, with some believing Lydia poisoned Kim in a revenge plot to get her hands on Home Farm, as she is named to inherit the estate.
Taking to Reddit, one Emmerdale viewer asked: “Who thinks Lydia will be joining Moira in jail? The useless cops will think she had a motive due to the house”, a second added: “I think she will be too.”
A third explained: “They think it’s mushroom poisoning, so logically it had to be Lydia as she was the one who served up the main meal with the mushrooms in it. Otherwise, how would anyone else know which plate Kim would get?”
“Kim’s food came on a totally different coloured plate, so it’s entirely reasonable her food was altered in some manner (like the Australian mushroom case)”, pointed out one fan.
“Who DID poison Kim? Lydia would be a surprise #Emmerdale”, queried another on X.
Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV and ITVX
