Emmerdale fans ‘rumble’ Ray and Celia’s secret accomplice and it’s bad news for Moira
Emmerdale fans are currently suspicious of one character in the Dales, following the d.e.a.t.h.s of Ray Walters and Celia Daniels

Emmerdale fans believe they’ve rumbled Ray Walters and Celia Daniels’ secret accomplice, and it’s bad news for Moira Dingle. ITV soap fans will recall that drug dealer Ray (Joe Absolom) made his first appearance in the Dales last year. It later transpired that he was entangled with youngster Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle). Dylan’s girlfriend, April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan), was soon ensnared in Ray and his wicked mother Celia’s (Jaye Griffiths) scheme as she attempted to settle Dylan’s spiralling debt.
But there’s more. It was also disclosed that Ray and Celia had been holding Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) hostage on their farm, along with several other captives. Celia’s world began to collapse when her son announced his decision to continue his relationship with Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy). He subsequently m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d his mother in their kitchen, before meeting a similar end when his body was seen being dragged through the village, just prior to the Corriedale crossover, reports the Daily Star.

Ray’s m.u.r.d.e.r.e.r currently remains unknown, but police have finally discovered his body in the back of a depot van. This discovery follows the unveiling of Ray and Celia’s crimes to the village, with Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) immediately under suspicion. To compound matters further, Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) coerced Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) into planting incriminating documents at Butlers Farm to frame Moira, resulting in the village stalwart’s arrest on Wednesday (January 14).
In Thursday’s (January 15) episode, now available to stream on ITVX, Moira arrived home following overnight questioning at the police station. Detective Sergeant Walsh (Amanda Ryan) then turned her attention to Laurel, probing her about her connection with Ray.
Throughout their discussion, Laurel suggested that her former husband Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) may have been displeased about her new relationship, though she remained convinced he wasn’t responsible for Ray’s m.u.r.d.e.r. DS Walsh subsequently brought Jai to the police station to discover more about why Ray’s body was discovered in the van he’d been driving.

“We think Laurel Thomas may have been involved in the m.u.r.d.e.r of Ray Walters, and we’re wondering if you might have been a part of it too. And if you were, you can both rest assured, we will find out,” the officer cautioned.
However, some Emmerdale viewers suspect that DS Walsh might be concealing a secret of her own and could be connected to Ray and Celia. “I may be wrong but I don’t think the police officer is legit,” one person commented on a Facebook fan page, with another contributing: “I know that DS Walsh has dealt with a lot of cases but I feel like something is not right about her too.”

A third viewer speculated: “Yes there is something odd I think, what if she’s involved with Ray and Celia and is trying to pin their crimes on someone else?” Another fan echoed this theory, stating: “Yes I totally agree with this!!”
Another viewer chimed in with their thoughts, suggesting: “I think she was on Celia’s payroll. She seemed to keep making excuses about why they couldn’t do anything when Marlon went to the police. Defo something dodgy going on.”
Emmerdale airs weekday nights at 8pm on ITV1 and STV, and Coronation Street airs weekday nights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and STV as part of ITV’s new soap power hour scheduling pattern for Coronation Street and Emmerdale
