Real-life Emmerdale couple share loved-up snap from ‘£100k’ wedding as fans left gushing
A married couple who met while working on ITV soap Emmerdale have shared a sweet snap from their lush wedding
A real-life Emmerdale couple have delighted fans after sharing a snap from their wedding day.
Max Parker and Kris Mochrie made their debut on the ITV soap in 2019, where Max played Luke Posner, the son of Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson), and Kris played his brother, Lee.
Lee ended up getting killed off that same year, following his character’s showdown with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), but Luke remained on the soap until 2021.
And after meeting on set, actors Kris and Max subsequently started dating. The couple confirmed their romance in July 2020, and by the end of the year, Kris and Max had moved in together.
Then, in January 2022, the pair took the next step in their relationship when Max popped the question to a shocked Kris on a beach. Fast forward to August last year, and the smitten couple tied the knot at the Wilderness Reserve in Suffolk.
Ceremonies can start at a pricy £65,000 there, and Max and Kris’ multi-day event saw the couple hunker down in the lavish Chapel Barn venue on the estate. Wedding favours included ‘KM’ branded bars of Tony’s Chocolate Chocolonely bars.
Guests were also treated to £82-a-bottle Laurent-Perrier Cuvee Rose. An insider at the time told The Sun the lavish celebrations would have likely set the couple back in the region of £100,000.
And on Sunday (January 4), Kris took to his Instagram to reflect on 2025 as he shared a sweet photo from his special day with Max. In the snap, the pair could be seen jumping in the air, looking dapper in their smart suits
Kris wrote in the caption: “Happy New Year! The last day of saying it before the world opens for business again tomorrow. What a year!!!
“The BEST moments of my life and some of the most testing for me and so many around us. Thank you for all the love and support. Jumping into 2026 and all that it holds.”
Fans were left gushing over the post and flooded the comments section with compliments. One person said, “Gorgeous couple.” Another added: “What a photo, what a year here’s to 2026.” A third chimed in: “Happy New Year, handsomes.” Someone else penned: “Always great to see happy people. Wishing you health and happiness in 2026.”
