Max’s bride in EastEnders is NOT Cindy, Linda, Chelsea or Denise — And The Woman He Marries Will Leave You SHOCKED.
EastEnders fans are convinced the bride montage teasing who Max Branning is marrying in 2027 could be a red herring, and that the real bride is someone else on the BBC soap
Viewers think EastEnders may have aired a major red herring in its flashforward episode on New Year’s Day.
In the episode we learned Max Branning was getting married to a mystery woman. Then, we saw a montage as he spoke that teased four different characters could be the bride.
Seen getting ready and taking a phone call just as Jack Branning called Max’s bride-to-be were Cindy Beale, Linda Carter, Chelsea Fox and even Denise Fox. Denise wasn’t onscreen, but she was missing from the house with some wedding shoes left behind.
But some fans think it won’t be any of these women who are set to wed Max in 2027. Viewers took to social media to guess we were being misled by the soap, and the actual bride was none other than his former flame Zoe Slater.
Zoe was missing from the episode and given their history, fans predicted she would be marrying Max. One fan said: “Hold up. Unless Zoe is the bride and the ones shown are the bridesmaids???”
Another fan tweeted: “Is he marrying Zoe?” A third added: “I still think Zoe could be the bride.” A further comment read: “We didn’t see Zoe so could she be the bride?”
It comes as fans think they know who the pregnant woman is in Max’s bed. As he rolled over, there was a woman also waking up, but her identity was covered.
She had a baby bump though which she was caressing, and the camera then panned to a baby scan as well as pregnancy supplements. After a recent random scene this week on the BBC soap, fans think it was a major hint at what was ahead.
With so much more to be explained, it hasn’t stopped fans thinking Chelsea Fox is the pregnant character in Max’s bed. Just days ago she suggested she found him attractive, so fans think this was the clue that she would be the woman.
Sharing their theories on social media in reply to the preview, fans noticed the woman appeared to sigh. One fan said: “Sounds like Chelsea that does.” Another view agreed: “Sounds like Chelsea,” as a third said: “Honestly it kinda sounds like Chelsea sighing.” A further comment read: “That’s Chelsea sighing.”
The comments kept on coming too with another reading: “Gotta be Chelsea, she’s not been in a big story line for a while.” One fan said: “Priya or Chelsea definitely involved!”
Another said: “That sounded like Chelsea,” as a fan admitted: “Oh, that sounds like Chelsea!” A final comment said: “That’s got to be Chelsea in bed with Max Branning in 2027.”
