1. Charity and Serena compare notes

Charity gets a chance to catch up with Serena about the big Dr Todd cover-up.

Sadly for them, they’re soon interrupted by no-nonsense newcomer DS Ramsden, who continues to make her presence felt in the village.

2. Sarah struggles with lying to Jacob

Jacob promises that he’ll stop asking questions about Dr Todd’s demise, seeing how much it’s affecting Sarah. His understanding attitude makes Sarah feel even worse, as she hates keeping him in the dark.

Later, Charity sticks to her false version of events when asked about Dr Todd’s death, but how long can she keep this up?

3. Joe’s surprise ruins Dawn and Billy’s plans

Joe leaves for his stag party, giving Billy and Dawn a chance to flee from the village with fake passports. However, they’re interrupted by Graham, who mysteriously takes them to a field.

All is revealed when Joe announces that he has replaced his stag party with a surprise “sten do”, which everyone can enjoy together. Billy and Dawn are visibly unsettled, wondering whether Joe is playing games again.

4. Billy fears Dawn’s next move

The party-goers enjoy a clay pigeon shoot, but Billy and Dawn remain paranoid about what Joe is up to. Caleb is also confused when he’s unable to reach Billy and Dawn to carry out their plans.

With tension mounting, Dawn takes her turn to shoot but her aim drifts towards Joe. Billy is stunned, wondering what Dawn is capable of…

5. Ruby plots against the Kings

Jimmy and Nicola worry about their future when they find out that the B&B is facing financial difficulties. They hope that a new haulage deal will solve their problems.

Scheming Ruby has other ideas when she arranges for Kev to rob Jimmy’s van and steal the shipment, hoping that it’ll be the tipping point which forces the Kings to sell the business. Ruby’s plan works a treat when it destabilises Jimmy as expected, although Kev feels cheated when the stolen loot is only nappies.

6. Kev covers his tracks

Ruby tries to keep Kev in line by warning that she has the CCTV footage which proves he attacked Billy.

Kev takes matters into his own hands by smashing up Caleb’s laptop to destroy the evidence.

7. Kev confesses to Billy

During the “sten do”, Kev gets drunk and approaches Billy to apologise for putting him in hospital.

Billy is shellshocked by the revelation that Kev was his attacker and that Caleb and Ruby have both been manipulating him. Will he tell Dawn what’s been going on?

8. Caleb takes control again

Caleb warns Billy that he won’t hand over the fake passports until the morning of the wedding, wanting to take the ultimate revenge against Joe by ruining his big day.

Things continue to go Caleb’s way when Jimmy decides to sell his haulage business to him and Ruby, unaware that he’s been played for a fool.

9. Nicola looks to the future

Lewis suggests that Nicola and Jimmy should renew their wedding vows – and Nicola is thrilled when Jimmy is on board with the idea.

Nicola also gets excited about Elliot’s upcoming university experience. Things seem to be looking up for the King family, but Jimmy hides a worrying secret when he gets a letter referencing mortgage arrears.

10. Mack and Ross move forward

Mack and Ross agree to call a truce, despite everything that’s happened between them in recent months.

Could they ever be friends again?
