AN Emmerdale star is making a shock comeback after two years off-screen for a plot that will kill OFF show legend Jimmy King.

Actor Luca Doyle, who has played Kelly Windsor (Adele Silva) and Jimmy King’s (Nick Miles) son Elliot Windsor on the ITV soap since 2016, is set to return to the village very soon.

The soap star hasn’t been on our screens since 2024, but will be back in the coming weeks as part of a huge storyline.

Luca confirmed his epic return on Pendleton Theatre School’s recent Instagram post.

The school, where Luca is studying currently, wrote: “Here is Musical Theatre Year 1 student Luca Hoyle who is returning to ‘Emmerdale’ @emmerdale this summer.”

They then shared a statement from Luca which read: “After a short break, I am so excited to say that this summer I am back in the studio filming for a new storyline as Elliot Windsor in Emmerdale.

“It’s a role I’ve been lucky enough to play since 2016, and it’s such a privilege to still be part of it.

“Looking forward to seeing where this next chapter goes.”

Many rushed to the comments section to congratulate the young star.

One said: “Such a star woah.”

Another added: “Great news.”

“Well done mate!,” a third chimed in.

Luca has been studying at the school for the past two years and will start his final year in September.

His return to the soap after two years away comes after it was reported that his onscreen dad Jimmy King (Nick Miles) is set to be killed off after more than 22 years.

The Sun reported back in May that the actor has been axed and will sensationally be killed off in a dramatic new storyline which will air later in the year.

Nick has been part of the ITV show since 2004.

Luca took over the role of Elliot from Jackson Cummins who was on the show in 2012.

And a year prior, Oliver Brooke played Elliot.
