Emmerdale and EastEnders to be pulled from ITV and BBC One in major schedule shake-up

With sports coverage coming to the BBC and ITV, the three much-loved programmes will not run to their usual schedules

All Coronation Street, EastEnders and Emmerdale TV schedule changes next week

Soap fans will need to prepare for some changes when wanting to watch their favourite next week as Coronation Street, Emmerdale and EastEnders are all involved in a schedule shake-up.

With sports coverage coming to the BBC and ITV, the three much-loved programmes will not run to their usual schedules.

Starting with Corrie, and fans will be able to head to Weatherfield as normal on Monday, June 30, at 8pm, and Wednesday, July 2, again at its usual time of 8pm.

The episode on Friday, July 4, will not air, with fans not getting a new episode to watch until the following week.

Moving over to Emmerdale, pn Monday, June 30, Emmerdale will air from 7.30pm until 8pm as normal but on Tuesday, July 1, an hour-long episode will air from 7pm.

The next installment of Dales action will then be available to watch on Wednesday, July 2 from the time of 7.30pm, in its usual half an hour slot, but on Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4, there will be no new episodes.

And last, but by no means least, EastEnders will air on Monday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 1, EastEnders from 7pm until 7.30pm and again at 7.30pm until 8pm but the second set of episodes will air on BBC Two rather than BBC One.

There will then be no new episodes of EastEnders on Wednesday, July 2, and Thursday, July 3, and episode don’t air on Friday.

The changes on the BBC come as Wimbledon gets underway while over on ITV, UEFA Women’s Euros matches are the cause a number of changes, startinf with Spain v Portugal UEFA Women’s Euros match on Thuesday before Germany take on Poland on Friday.

From 2026, there are set to be major changes to Corrie and Emmerdale over on ITV after a new soap ‘power hour’ was revealed by the broadcaster. It will see half hour Emmerdale episodes air at 8pm, followed by 30 minute episodes of Coronation Street at 8.30pm.

To mark the chance, it was revealed that the two shows will collide. An hour-long crossover episode will air in January 2026 and produceers have said the special episode will have “everlasting consequences for everyone involved”, saying the two shows’ universes in Manchester and Yorkshire had been linked in an “ingenious way”.
