EastEnders’ Ash Panesar’s return ‘sealed’ – and it’s bad news for Suki and Eve’s marriage

There was a trip down memory lane for the Panesars in tonight’s EastEnders episode, as Suki received an update about her estranged daughter, Ash.
While in the Minute Mart, Eve noticed a social media update from Ash, confirming she’d gotten engaged as she showed off a picture of her huge rock. Eve wasted no time investigating, as she discovered Ash’s fiancée is a surgeon in her fifties. The news didn’t go down well with Suki, who exclaimed: “She’s old enough to be her mum!”
She then continued, “Ash has made it pretty clear that she doesn’t care about me. So why should I bother about anything she does?”
Ash left EastEnders in 2023 after accepting a job offer in Canada – but could she be back in the Square soon? Fans seem to think so – and many think it could cause trouble for Suki and Eve.

Taking to Reddit, one fan wrote: “Oh, we’re definitely one step closer to an Ash return, while another echoed: “Would love to see an Ash return. There’s so much potential to go through with Suki!”
“I’m convinced Ash is returning… #eastenders,” exclaimed another excited fan, as a fourth questioned: “Are we getting an Ash return?? #eastenders.”
A third said: “The Ash mention is interesting. I smell a return on the horizon, with new surgeon fiancé in tow. I bet you any money that Ash having a 50 year old fiancé is setting Suki and Eve up for some sort of love triangle storyline where this new woman tries it on with one of them. Suki being the more exciting option as it further conflicts with Ash.”

The news coincidentally comes two weeks after the actress shared news of an engagement off-screen. Gurlaine Kaur Garcha took to her social media a couple of weeks ago to announce that she was engaged after a romantic proposal in Ibiza.
“v happy & v engaged!!!!!!” she wrote, keeping the caption short and sweet. Although Gurlaine kept her partner’s identity private, she confirmed the romantic proposal took place while on holiday in Ibiza.
Her EastEnders co-stars were quick to show their love with her on-screen mum Balvinder Sopal, who plays Suki Panesar, commenting: “Oh my days!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS BABY ”
