Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Karen NEVER Moved On From Her Feelings For Zac!

Did Karen Ever Really Move On From Zach?

Wow, folks. It’s funny — just last week, when I dropped that post about Karen never wanting to be a mother (only wanting leverage over Zach), it got a ton of traction. Then I followed up with a few more posts showing how Karen planned to weaponize this child even before it was born.

Now this week, I’m seeing a flood of throwback clips online — from Karen reading the letters in season 5, to the infamous law firm scene when she nearly threw hands with Fatima. And the caption people keep posting is:

“I can’t believe some of y’all said Karen moved on from Zach when she clearly never did.”

So let’s answer the question once and for all:
Did Karen ever move on from Zach Taylor?

Short answer: No. Not at all.

Karen’s Shift in Season 6B (The “Calm Before the Storm”)

Let’s be fair. There was a point when it looked like Karen was moving forward.

Season 6B, after the salon fire, she mellowed out. She smiled more. She wasn’t cursing, drinking, or tearing everyone down. Fans noticed. Brian (Jason Weaver’s character) came in, and suddenly we saw a “softer” Karen, kind of like her season 2 self when Aaron first showed up.

She even called Fatima politely one time about a realtor’s number. That version of Karen shocked everybody — including Zach and Fatima.

For a second, it felt like Karen was rebuilding.

Season 7: Right Back to Old Habits

Then came season 7. New writers. A three-month time skip.

First episode back? Karen was dragging Fatima’s hair with Pam in the salon. And boom — we were back to that Karen.

I’d even argue season 7 might hold the record for the most times Karen called Fatima the B-word. She was out of control.

So whatever growth we saw in 6B? Gone.

Aaron: Real Love Interest or Placeholder?

Now, some fans will say Karen “moved on” because of Aaron.

But let’s be honest. Aaron was a placeholder. Even Zach himself said it. And after Karen backslid with that quickie in her office? Yeah. That sealed it.

It’s the same way Andy had Jordan but never truly let go of Gary. These women latch onto temporary men, but their hearts stay stuck on toxic ones.

Zach Isn’t Innocent Either

Here’s the twist — Zach is just as much to blame.

Yes, Karen can cut people down with words. But Zach? He plays with Karen’s emotions. Every time she tries to focus on herself, he pulls some big dramatic gesture. Running through a crowd to scoop her up outside the burning salon? Spinning her around, crying into her hair — while Fatima quietly walked away?

Then later, Zach hits her with the infamous line:
“I’m not in love with you, but I’ll always have love for you.”

Come on. He knows Karen only hears what she wants to hear. He knows that word — love — keeps her carrying a torch. If he truly wanted her to move on, he wouldn’t use it.

Karen’s Own Words Betray Her

The proof is in Karen’s own letters.

Page after page, she admits Zach “messed her up,” destroyed her view of love, and that she can’t get over him.

If he was so terrible, why cling to him so long? Why keep hoping he’s the father? Why keep berating him, yet refusing to let go?

Final Word

No, Karen never moved on from Zach. Not really.

At best, she had moments of acceptance. At worst, she weaponized a pregnancy and clung to a toxic cycle. And Zach? He didn’t help, because his mixed signals only fueled her obsession.

So fans need to stop pretending Karen ever truly let Zach go. She didn’t. And that’s why we’re still watching this toxic tug-of-war play out season after season.
