Emmerdale viewers are convinced they know the true culprit behind Jimmy King’s car crash — and they don’t believe it was Gabby Thomas. Soap stalwart Jimmy (Nick Miles) was tragically written out of the show this week after his car ploughed into Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and Dawn Taylor’s (Olivia Bromley) wedding marquee. A bloodied and battered Jimmy was left trapped inside his vehicle, badly injured following the collision.
Although he initially appeared stable, Jimmy’s condition deteriorated rapidly. In devastating scenes, Jimmy drew his final breath and passed away with his devoted wife Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) at his side. The drama was far from over, however, as moments later the marquee erupted in a dramatic explosion.

In Friday’s episode (August 28) it emerged that Joe had miraculously survived and was swiftly rushed to hospital, where Dawn went into labour far earlier than expected, reports the Daily Star.
Meanwhile, a devastated Nicola faced the heartbreaking task of informing her children of Jimmy’s death. Later, DS Ramsden (Chelsea Edge) examined the scene and disclosed to Kim Tate (Claire King) that Jimmy’s car had swerved to avoid somebody.
Shortly afterwards, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) was spotted lurking behind them, appearing distinctly guilt-ridden. While some viewers believe Gabby triggered the accident, others have ‘figured out’ that Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) may be implicated.

“Gabby didn’t cause it. I think she saw Sadie [King] trying to run Jimmy off the road. We know she’s coming back,” speculated one viewer on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page. Another replied: “I like this theory!” A third viewer chimed in: “Yeah it’s a good way to bring Sadie back.”
While another added: “I did wonder how she will return now Jimmy’s died, that would make sense.”
Meanwhile, speaking to journalists at a recent event, Emmerdale’s executive producer Laura Shaw teased Sadie’s comeback. She said: “It’s Sadie King. I feel like, of course she’s got an agenda..

“What I can say is the reason that Sadie comes back and the secret she comes back with is gonna be absolutely shocking. And whether all is quite as it seems, we shall see as the story progresses, but it’s gonna be pretty big and pretty shocking.”
Laura continued: “We’ve definitely tried to bring Sadie back every bit in a dramatic way as she arrived last time. So, I think her arrival will be every bit as amazing and brilliant as the first time around.
“I think probably the most shocking thing is definitely the reason that brings her back. It’s undoubtedly one of the biggest secrets we’ve ever had within the King family, and it’s gonna be pretty explosive.”
