Jimmy King’s reason for crashing his car on Emmerdale may have been rumbled, with fans fearing a sad twist.
The character was seen crashing his vehicle into Dawn Taylor and Joe Tate’s wedding marquee during Wednesday’s shocking episode. Just as pregnant Dawn begged Joe to forgive her for planning to run away with her ex Billy Fletcher, disaster struck.
Dawn asked Joe to marry her, with no one else in the tent. Suddenly, Dawn and Joe were forced to dive out of the way as a car ploughed towards them at speed.
As the entire marquee was destroyed, the episode ended with an unconscious Jimmy lifeless at the wheel of the car. On the ground, Joe was injured and not moving, while Dawn was also in a bad way.

With Jimmy confirmed to be behind the wheel, fans were wondering what had caused him to lose control of the car and crash into the marquee. Some fans think they’ve figured it out in a sad twist.
With Jimmy rumoured to be leaving the show, with actor Nick Miles reportedly written out, fans think this is how Jimmy will die. They think he crashed the car accidentally due to a medical episode.
The top theory is that Jimmy may have fallen ill behind the wheel, possibly suffering a heart attack. Fans now fear that Jimmy will die, after the reports he was being killed off.
One fan posted on social media: “Probably heart attack at the wheel,” as another agreed: “Heart attack I hope Joe and dawn ok.” A third fan added: “Jimmys definitely had medical episode at the wheel poor sod his exit.”
Another said: “I’m thinking heart attack/stroke at the wheel.” A final post read: “Jimmy must have a heart attack at the wheel.”

It comes as Joe’s fate may have been revealed in a cryptic spoiler shared exclusively with the Mirror. Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw told us recently that a big 2027 plot had been planned.
She teased that a current storyline was about to escalate, and it would be this plot that would continue and escalate into the next year. Laura was discussing the dangerous feud between Joe and his uncle Caleb Miligan, in the lead-up to the big wedding week.
Laura told us that the wedding aftermath would see Caleb and Joe feuding once more. She hinted it would get worse, and told us this would continue into the next year, meaning 2027, amid some “gothic” autumn content for the Tates. SO, does that confirm Joe lives?
