Lives forever destroyed in Emmerdale as Sadie, Charity and Sarah explode shattering secrets

Much like the weather, things are heating up in Emmerdale this summer, with a sizzling season of secrets set to explode – and a delicious comeback at the centre of it all.

New allegiances are formed and old feuds are reignited, with six iconic women taking centre stage amid a number of months that will change the eponymous village forever.

Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) is determined to do whatever it takes to protect her family and hold everything together but as the web of lies spins out of control, a confession follows that will shake Emmerdale – and all those who live there – to its very core.

The Woolpack landlady, as viewers know, slept with Ross Barton (Michael Parr) around the very same time she became a surrogate for granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill), who has delighted in becoming a first-time mum following baby Leyla’s arrival.

While Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) has since learned the truth about Charity’s betrayal – and the fact that Leyla is Charity and Ross’ biological child – Sarah remains in the dark.

Upcoming scenes, however, will see Sarah pushed to the edge as she struggles to hold everything together.

Is her whole world set to crash into pieces when the long-awaited reveal of Leyla’s parentage is made?

Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), meanwhile, will find her life at risk when she struggles to keep things under control, which severely impacts her health. A terrible accident follows, which leaves her with a big decision – and it’s one that could destroy the lives of all those around her.

Elsewhere, Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) is caught in the crossfire of a terrible feud and will face an impossible decision between her present life and the hope of a future as her big wedding day approaches, while newcomer Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) faces a volatile situation -and she must decide how much she is willing to lose to protect those secrets.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any more dramatic, at the centre of it all is the comeback to end all comebacks, with the legendary Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) staging her long-awaited return. And in typical Sadie fashion, she’s got an agenda.

The iconic schemer’s comeback after two decades leaves the residents of the village reeling – and the shocks just keep on coming as she shares a staggering secret that stuns everyone to silence.

But just what could it possibly be?

That is the question and it’s one you’re just going to have to wait a little bit longer to find out the answer to but it’s safe to say that Emmerdale is the place to be this summer.
