EMMERDALE SHOCK: “Serena Was Never Really A Sugden?” – Explosive New Theory Claims Her Biological Father Has Been Hiding In Plain Sight

Fans of Emmerdale believe that they’ve uncovered Serena Sugden’s real dad.
Newcomer Serena (played by Casey Al-Shaqsy) first appeared on our screens last month, when she helped a distressed Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) down by the lake.
The pair bonded, with Charity opening up about baby Leyla’s true parentage and Dr Caitlin Todd’s (Caroline Harker) blackmail and sexual assault. After helping Charity work through her emotions, Serena headed to the village to reunite with her long-lost relatives.
She bonded with her cousin Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), who has since let Serena stay at Butler’s Farm. However, his fiancé, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), remains suspicious of the newcomer, after she continued to ask about Robert’s serial killer brother John (Oliver Farnworth).
Kev Barton (Chris Coghill) recently revealed that Serena is a police officer, leading Robert to demand answers from his cousin during Wednesday’s (July 15) episode, which is now streaming on ITVX.

Serena explained that she no longer worked for the police as they “weren’t a good fit”. She also revealed that John had previously cashed in his army pension to help her family when they were struggling.
She still had some of his cash left over, so offered it to Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh) – the wife of John’s murder victim, Nate (Jurell Carter).
Later, after getting some information out of Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw), Serena realised that Victoria’s (Isabel Hodgins) sudden exit was associated with John’s death.
Soap viewers will know that Victoria killed John in self-defense during the Corriedale crossover earlier this year, but his death was later ruled as suicide.
“If she did [kill John], I’d be buying her a drink, not turning her in,” Serena assured Robert. “Relax yourself. I’m agreeing with you. She’s done nothing wrong. I only wanted the truth, and now I’ve got it.”
She added: “I won’t take it any further. You have my word on that.”

However, it looks as though Serena went back on her word as she was later seen parking up outside the police station. Is she about to turn Victoria in?
Now, several soap fans believe that Serena might not be a Sugden at all, as her real dad could be a stone’s throw away in the village. A number of viewers are convinced that the newcomer is the daughter of Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough), who returned from the dead earlier this year.
“Am I the only one that isn’t sure about Serena Sugden,” one person wrote on a Facebook fan page, with another adding: “I don’t think she’s a Sugden.”
A third said: “She could be something to do with Graham, maybe his daughter?”
A fourth viewer echoed the sentiment, saying: “Lol she would actually fit in really well with the Tate’s because she’s so dodgy.”
