Three More Emmerdale Stars Are Set to Leave in the Coming Months – And You’ll Be ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED When You Find Out Who They Are!

The following article contains spoilers from the episode of Emmerdale dated July 15. It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX and YouTube.
Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) could soon be the reason three Emmerdale residents end up behind bars.
There’s been a great deal of mystery surrounding Serena ever since she arrived in the village. She claimed that she was in town to reconnect with distant cousin Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), but suspicion started to grow due to how interested she was in John Sugden’s (Oliver Farnworth) life the village, and what happened to Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter).
One of Serena’s secrets were revealed earlier in the week, and it was thanks to Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) of all people.
When Kev first laid eyes on Serena, he wondered if they knew each other from somewhere. As it began to play on his mind, he initially believed that he had seen Serena working as a prison guard.
It didn’t sit right with him though, so Kev continued pondering over it.
On Monday, Kev managed to work out Serena’s identity. He headed up to Emmerdale Farm, and announced to Robert that his cousin is a copper.
Why is this a problem, I hear you ask? Because Robert and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) spent the best part of this year covering up a murder – John’s murder.
The crazed medic with a hero complex was killed by Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) in January. She then confessed to Robert and Aaron, who helped her while John’s death was investigated.
Victoria left the village for a new life in Portugal once the police concluded that John had ended his life.
Robert’s discovery that Serena is a police officer was hugely worrying for him, Aaron and Vic.
Sitting down with his cousin in today’s episode, Robert demanded answers.
Serena revealed that she used to work in the police, but doesn’t anymore. She then confirmed that John had given her family his army pension, which proved hugely beneficial to them as they were struggling to run their farm.

This very generous gift left Serena wondering how John was capable of inflicting such horror while living in Emmerdale. It turned out that she had some of John’s money leftover, and later decided to speak to Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) about giving it to Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) and little Frankie.
While Serena’s curiosity into John’s reign over the village had been explained, the situation wasn’t over. In the pub, she encouraged Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) to share gossip on Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) selling her farm to the Tates.
What stuck out to Serena is that Bob didn’t know why Robert and Vic sold their farmland. Another thought brewing away, she headed back to Emmerdale Farm and confronted Robert, curious as to why Vic really left for Portugal.
Serena was clever with her words, and managed to steer the conversation in a direction that saw her and Robert discuss the theory that Vic killed John. She stated that if Vic murdered him, she’d actually buy her a drink, not turn her into the police.
Robert didn’t confirm that Serena was right, but he didn’t need to. She claimed that she wouldn’t say anything about Victoria, and then disappeared.

Aaron returned home and was furious to discover that Robert had revealed the murder secret to Serena. When he pointed out that Serena could definitely be friends with other coppers, the reality of what he had just done suddenly smacked Robert in the face.
Believing he was about to get ‘sent down’ along with Robert and Vic, Aaron headed back to the pub for one final drink.
Meanwhile, Serena was seen getting out of her car, heading into a police station.
We know that Isabel Hodgins has plans to return to her role as Victoria Sugden eventually, but will her first storyline back see Vic questioned about John’s death?
Multiple Emmerdale residents are leaving the soap this year. Are Robert, Aaron and Victoria about to get added to the list?
