Coronation Street icon Sally Dynevor is mother to two well-known daughters and married to a man who television viewers may well recognise. Sally, 63, first appeared on the ITV soap in 1986 in the role of Sally Seddon, who would later become renowned for her marriage to mechanic Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).

From a harrowing cancer diagnosis to her numerous turbulent relationships on the cobbles, Sally’s four decades in Weatherfield have been packed with drama. Particularly as her marriage to husband Tim (Joe Duttine) has experienced its fair share of ups and downs. It’s safe to say Sally is a soap icon who has featured in numerous major storylines, and is widely adored for her comedic timing and reputation as the street’s resident gossip. Off-screen, actress Sally enjoys a happy marriage with her husband Tim, who she married in 1995. Tim is an accomplished screenwriter who has contributed to the ITV soap Emmerdale, alongside work on television series The Drowning and Desperate Measures, reports the Mirror.

According to IMDb, Tim penned over 2,000 episodes of Emmerdale spanning from 1995 to 2016. His final credited episode was broadcast in January 2016 and centred on Diane Sugden (Elizabeth Estensen) attempting to offload her share of The Woolpack, while Adam Barton’s (Adam Thomas) growing bond with baby Johnny Woodfield proved problematic.

Sally recently thrilled fans by offering a glimpse into her personal life with Tim. Posting to her Instagram account, she uploaded multiple photographs from their latest getaway to Iceland, where the contented pair were soaking up the stunning scenery.

She captioned the post: “Well, that was an adventure. What a wonderful, beautiful country Iceland is”. As one might expect, fans and co-stars alike were left full of admiration for the post.

Jane Danson commented: “Pretty special I really want to go again. Glad you had a fab time Sal”. Sally Ann Matthews penned: “Oh wowzers”, while Jude Riordan added: “I’m going next week!”.

Sally and Tim have three children together, including daughters Phoebe, 31, and Hattie, 22, and son Sam, 29. Both daughters have followed in their parents’ footsteps and are forging successful careers in television.

Hattie Dynevor appears in the BBC drama Waterloo Road, portraying Libby Guthrie, the daughter of history teacher Neil (Neil Fitzmaurice), and has featured in series 13 through to 17.

She also starred in the recently released compelling Netflix series Legends as Arabella, which features Steve Coogan and Tom Burke amongst its cast.

Hattie’s elder sister, Phoebe, similarly launched her acting career on Waterloo Road, portraying Siobhan Mailey between 2009 and 2020.

Bridgerton enthusiasts will also recognise the actress as Daphne, the wife of Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, portrayed by Regé-Jean Page, between 2020 and 2022. Speaking to Collider, Phoebe opened up about a potential comeback to the Netflix period drama.

She said, “When the first season came out, they didn’t know what they needed to put in play. We were the ones that got away, in a certain way.

“I can only speak for myself, I would always come back if I was asked. I have not received a call. When I get that call, I will be there if I can.”

Since then, she has featured in numerous popular television programmes, including The Musketeers, Dickensian, Snatch, and Ten Percent. Beyond television work, Phoebe has appeared in the films The Colour Room, Inheritance, and Thrash.
