Another Emmerdale character is said to be leaving the show in fresh axe claims.

A village resident who joined the ITV soap 22 years ago questions whether it’s best to leave the village for good next week. Episodes see the person confide in another character about moving abroad.

Noah Dingle, who was born on the show in 2004, could be leaving the Dingles behind after more than 20 years. It’s his stepfather Mackenzie Boyd who he tells about his plans for the future.

It’s been a quiet time onscreen for Noah in recent months, last featuring in big scenes when he was drugged by his brother Joe Tate last year, causing the limo crash. He previously faced heartbreak after splitting with Amelia Spencer, who then left the village.

Since then he’s only popped up every now and again, and was last seen accused by his uncle Caleb Miligan over a theft at his depot. Noah decides next week that it might be time to make some plans.

He considers applying for jobs out of the country, meaning a move from the village for good. He tells Mack about this, but how will Mack react?

Actor Jack Downham has played Noah since 2009. It has not been confirmed by ITV whether the actor is leaving the show or not, while the spoilers are a massive hint. Since the spoilers were released, The Sun has now claimed Noah actor Jack has been axed from the role, with an exit planned for later this year.

A source told them: “Jack is such a lovely lad, and everyone adores him. He’s been on the show since he was a young child so it’s all he’s ever known.

“He was told of the news last month and his axing has once again sent shockwaves through the cast and crew. Everyone is wondering who will be next.”

It comes as Mack actor Lawrence Robb teased dramatic scenes for his character and Ross Barton next week. Mack attacks Ross, over Ross’ fling with Mack’s wife Charity.

Mack now knows that baby Leyla is actually Charity and Ross’ daughter. Most villagers believe Charity carried her granddaughter Sarah’s baby for her, after agreeing to be her surrogate.

Of course a few residents have uncovered the baby is actually Charity and Ross’ – and when Mack confronts Ross, it leads to deadly scenes. Here’s what Lawrence teased about what was ahead…

How does he feel towards Ross?

Mack feels deeply betrayed by Ross. They were becoming close friends, so learning that Ross knew about Leyla feels like a big betrayal. While he might understand Charity’s motivations better due to his love for her, the betrayal from Ross is harder to reconcile.

I think there’s a lot of anger directed towards Ross – not so much because of the infidelity (Mack committed a similar act of betrayal with Chloe a few years ago) but because of the reality of Leyla’s biological parentage. Mack asks Ross to help him with the job at the farm.

Can you briefly describe what happens?

Mack asks Ross to come up to the farm. Mack can’t keep his anger in check while he’s with Ross, Ross realises almost immediately that something is wrong. Tensions flare, they trade heated words, and the confrontation escalates into a scuffle on the barn mezzanine. Mack pushes Ross over the side. In that moment, Mack isn’t trying to kill him – he just wants to hurt him. He achieves that and walks away.
