Serena in Emmerdale is definitely hiding something, and now we might know what that is.
Recent scenes saw her come under suspicion with her odd behaviour, and her questions about killer cousin John Sugden. But it was a scene with Kev Townsend that revealed they shared a link away from the village that really got fans talking.
Kev, who has been in and out of prison, was sure he had met Serena before. There is no reason for this to be the case as while Kev was married to Serena’s cousin Robert Sugden, Robert had not seen Serena during this time.
Soon, Kev decided he knew exactly why he recognised Serena. As he explained to her, it gave away what she could be hiding, and why she might be asking about John.

Kev claimed Serena was a “screw”, a slang term for a prison officer or guard. He was adamant, but Serena denied this. It’s what she said next that made it clear Kev was on to something.
She told him she did not want to have this conversation again, and threw him a warning look. Kev knew he had touched a nerve, and Serena was adamant she wanted no more talk of where they had met.
So it could well mean that yes, Serena is a prison officer or guard. Or, maybe there’s something else going on. Fans are wondering if Serena worked as a counsellor or therapist, possibly in prison.

It’s not clear why she would be hiding this, but fans think there is definitely a prison link and this is how she knows Kev. Another theory is that she’s actually an undercover journalist or author.
A theory is that she’s trying to gather information about what John did in order to write a book about the crime. Either way, it’s clear she is hiding something, and she’s not keen for people to know what it is – while she’s also digging for information.
It comes as Robert is left unconscious next week after an incident on the farm. But despite concern that Serena could be involved, spoilers might hint that someone else is to blame.
What we know is that Robert is on the farm when he’s injured by a runaway trailer. Serena finds her cousin and gets him back to the house to help him.

When Robert’s fiancé Aaron Dingle heads to the house to see Robert, it’s clear he is suspicious of Serena. Some other cryptic spoilers could reveal who is actually to blame for the incident though.
This is purely speculation, but a spoiler about a scene involving Mackenzie Boyd and Ross Barton, who are at the farm that same week, mentions a trailer. Is it just a coincidence, or is it linked?
So the spoiler reads: “A simmering tension from Mack towards Ross builds as they load bags from a trailer.” It’s at this point that the pair end up fighting, and Mack attacks Ross.
So what happens with the trailer? Is it the same trailer that ends up “running away’ and colliding with poor Robert on the farm?
