“One Announcement Has Crime Drama Fans Buzzing…” — Death In Paradise Favourite’s New Show Takes An Unexpected Turn After Season Two
Josephine Jobert's crime drama Saint-Pierre left fans hooked when it launched in 2025 - and there is more to come.

Josephine Jobert’s popular crime series Saint-Pierre has officially been renewed for a third season, and filming is only weeks away.
The former Death in Paradise star plays the role of Deputy Chief Geneviève ‘Arch’ Archambault in the show, who lives in the titular Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon. She stars opposite actor Allan Hawco, known for his role in the Amazon Prime series Jack Ryan, as Donny ‘Fitz’ Fitzpatrick.
The plot follows the pair, who are in Saint-Pierre for their own separate reasons, and while it might look like an idyllic getaway, Arch and Fitz soon discover there is a darker side to the French territory off the coast of Canada, and it’s rife with criminal activity for them to put a stop to.
First launching in 2025, the cozy comfort series quickly became a fan favourite on the Canadian network CBC and was renewed for a second season. In April, the first series launched in the UK on U&Alibi.

On Tuesday (May 27), Deadline announced the show’s third-season renewal, and filming is set to commence in July in Newfoundland and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support from CBC, our incredible partners at Fifth Season, and the worldwide fans who have embraced the show from the very beginning”, Hawco and co-creator Robina Lord-Stafford told the publication.
“Returning to Newfoundland and Saint-Pierre et Miquelon for Season 3 is especially exciting, as these locations are such an important part of the show’s identity.
“We’re looking forward to building on the momentum of the first two seasons and bringing audiences even more of the mystery, unexpected twists, and character dynamics that make this world so special.”

The series has already been dubbed by viewers on IMDb as a “must-watch” show, with the episode titled ‘Kill Lil’ highly praised as one that “hits all the right notes”. One fan also confirmed they are “Obsessed” with the series, while another added: “We love this show so much!”
While leading star Joséphine Jobert initially starred in Death in Paradise as Detective Sergeant Florence Cassell between 2015 and 2019, before returning to the BBC show for seasons 10 and 11 between 2021 and 2022.
The actress returned in 2024 for season 13, with her character Florence last seen sailing off into the sunset with Neville, played by Ralf Little, who also departed the series.
Saint-Pierre is available to watch on U&Alibi
