Emmerdale viewers have discovered that Kev Townsend actor Chris Coghill has a rather well-known former partner. The actor’s past relationship came up when he appeared on ITV’s This Morning alongside Bradley Riches, his fellow cast member in the ITV soap.
Among the other guests on the show was chef and TV personality John Torode, who was on hand to showcase his culinary skills. John is married to actress and presenter Lisa Faulkner, and a number of viewers quickly realised that Lisa was also previously married to Chris, reports the Mirror. Several viewers took to X to comment on the coincidence of both John and Chris appearing on the ITV programme on the same day.

“Wasn’t he Lisa Faulkner’s first husband?” one user posted on the platform as Chris joined hosts Josie Gibson and Dermot O’Leary on the sofa.
“So Lisa Faulkner has her current husband and ex husband on the show today,” another remarked on the platform, formerly known as Twitter.
A further user posted: “Wow Kev Townsend and John Torode in studio at the same time #awkward.” Another quipped: “Pretty sure that man is Lisa Faulkner’s ex husband.. John is there too today. Hopefully they get along.”
Chris and Lisa first met on the set of BBC’s Burn It in 2003, before tying the knot at Richmond Park in Surrey in 2005. The couple adopted a daughter together in 2008, however by 2011 it was confirmed that they had parted ways.
Lisa subsequently found love with Australian chef John — whom she had met on Celebrity MasterChef — previously revealing to Radio Times that he had written her a romantic note asking her out on a date. “I was surprised,” she said at the time.

“I knew we’d had a couple of nice times where we met, chatted, had fun and talked a lot. So we were friends, and it didn’t come out of the blue, but I thought it was a very gentlemanly thing to do, a letter.”
The couple went on to exchange vows in a wedding ceremony held at Aynhoe Park, Oxfordshire in 2019. The pair have also workd together, presenting shows together including ITV’s John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen.
