The A Murder Between Friends star told The Daily Mail: “My wife Amy had actually done a postnatal depression storyline on Emmerdale when she was pregnant, and so I sort of knew all the signs to look out for in her.

“And I was watching her like a hawk, only to realise that some of those same symptoms were showing up in myself.

“There isn’t any kind of reference point for dads.

“It’s a growing community and more and more conversations are starting to happen now, which I think is amazing and, you know, so important,” Toby said.

Meanwhile, Toby portrayed evil Gray Atkins on EastEnders for three years, before exiting the BBC soap in 2022.

The pair got engaged in Ibiza during a romantic getaway in August 2023 before tying the knot in a star-studded ceremony in front of family and friends in Montenegro the following month.

Amy and Toby first met in 2019 while in the audience of Strictly Come Dancing and quickly moved in together ahead of the coronavirus pandemic.

Walford is set to see the return of the murderer for a major storyline.

Serial killer Gray will return four years after he was jailed.

But producers are keeping tight lipped about just why Gray is back.

Although his reappearance will be short, as he is still serving a long prison sentence, it is set to cause drama for more than one Walford resident

A source said: “Gray’s return is set to be explosive. He’s got unfinished business in Walford and fans won’t see it coming.”

Gray’s first victim was wife Chantelle (Jessica Plummer), who he murdered in September 2020 after subjecting her to years of domestic abuse. Three months later, he killed Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) when she discovered what had happened to Chantelle.

Next it was Kush Kazemi, played by Davood Ghadami, who Gray pushed in front of a London Underground train in April 2021.

Gray’s comeback will involve estranged second wife Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) and their son Jordan.
