You’ll Be SHOCKED by What Happens After Charity Disappears – The New Trailer Reveals a Chilling Twist

Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) continues to struggle in Emmerdale following her sexual assault ordeal by the sinister Dr Todd (Caroline Harker) and next week she gets in the car and drives out of the village, leaving her loved ones incredibly concerned.

The much-loved show matriarch, as viewers know, has had a very tough time as of late.

After agreeing to be surrogate for Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) – hoping to grant her life-long wish to be a mum – Charity was shocked to learn that the baby in question wasn’t actually her granddaughters but was instead her own, after she cheated on husband Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) with ex Ross Barton (Michael Parr).

In a bid to not break Sarah’s heart, she kept the paternity a secret and, after a particularly traumatic birth, she handed the newborn over to Sarah and Jacob Sugden (Joe-Warren Plant), who couldn’t be happier as parents.

But Dr Todd, who had been bullying Jacob for weeks, discovered the baby’s true paternity and used it to blackmail Charity into handing over thousands of pounds in cash. And earlier this month, the story took another devastating turn when Todd sexually assaulted Charity.

Charity reported the crime to the police but it didn’t go anywhere and, after Todd left the village, she continued to struggle, leaving Mack incredibly worried.

Her loved ones believe she has postnatal depression and Charity didn’t argue with such a thing, feeling alone and isolated, unable to talk to anyone about what she’s going through in case the truth about baby Leyla is revealed.

The situation escalates next week, as confirmed in a brand new trailer, with Charity getting in her car and driving off, leaving her loved ones panicked.

In the short preview clip, Mack can be heard saying he’s going to contact the police while Charity screams in her car, utterly devastated by what she’s been through.

The question is: will she be found?

New spoilers confirm that, while standing by the lake, Charity is approached by a stranger, who puts a hand on her shoulder, seeing that she’s in distress.

Charity, however, retaliates with violence – but the stranger offers their support. Will Charity open up about what she’s going through?
