Josephine Jobert’s acclaimed crime drama Saint-Pierre has been commissioned for a third series, with production just weeks from getting underway.

The former Death in Paradise actress portrays Deputy Chief Geneviève ‘Arch’ Archambault in the programme, set in the eponymous Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon. She appears alongside Allan Hawco, recognised for his role in the Amazon Prime series Jack Ryan, who plays Donny ‘Fitz’ Fitzpatrick.

The storyline centres on the duo, each in Saint-Pierre for their own distinct reasons. Beneath its picturesque exterior, Arch and Fitz uncover a sinister underbelly in the French territory off Canada’s coast, where criminal activity runs rampant.

Having launched in 2025, the warmly received series swiftly established itself as a firm favourite on Canadian broadcaster CBC, earning a second-series commission. The debut series arrived on UK screens via U&Alibi in April.

On Tuesday 27 May, Deadline confirmed the third-series renewal, with filming scheduled to begin in July across Newfoundland and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, reports the Express.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support from CBC, our incredible partners at Fifth Season, and the worldwide fans who have embraced the show from the very beginning”, Hawco and co-creator Robina Lord-Stafford told the publication.

“Returning to Newfoundland and Saint-Pierre et Miquelon for Season 3 is especially exciting, as these locations are such an important part of the show’s identity.

“We’re looking forward to building on the momentum of the first two seasons and bringing audiences even more of the mystery, unexpected twists, and character dynamics that make this world so special.”

The series has already garnered considerable praise from IMDb viewers, who have labelled it a “must-watch”, with the episode entitled ‘Kill Lil’ receiving particular acclaim for the way it “hits all the right notes”.
