This week’s episode of Sistas Season 9 gave us a plot twist nobody asked for: Gary helped save the day. Like, actually helped. Not schemed. Not manipulated. He grabbed a gun and saved Andy’s life… allegedly.

Zach confirmed it himself:

“Yo, I was choking the life outta Hudson and Gary must’ve got free and grabbed the gun. I should’ve done more — write that down!”

What really sent fans spiraling wasn’t the fact that Gary actually did something decent — it was Andy’s face when she heard it. 👀
Confused? Shocked? A little… moved? GIRL, NO.

We saw those lingering looks. The classic, “maybe he’s changed” energy. The writers better not be setting us up for another Gary x Andy redux, because we barely survived the last one.

Let’s not forget:

• There was a time jump where Andy had clearly moved on — new job, new goals, new peace.

• And Jasmine literally tried to kill her. Like, actually.

So, if after all that trauma Andy suddenly starts wondering if Gary is a changed man just because he went from hiding under a desk to being slightly useful for 3.5 seconds? We’re done. CANCELLED.

And yet, here comes Andy with the “I wonder if this will change him…” line. 😩
Nah sis, what needs to change is your taste.

We get it — trauma bonds are real, and near-death moments mess with your head. But let’s not romanticize a man just because he didn’t fully flop for once. This isn’t redemption — this is basic humanity.
