Emmerdale’s Rhona Goskirk has been left conflicted after her ex Graham Foster showed up in the village earlier this year.

In January, during the ITV soap crossover, Corriedale saw the dramatic return of Graham, played by Andrew Scarborough. Viewers were left gobsmacked when Graham, who was supposedly k.i.l.l.e.d off on Emmerdale in 2020, was spotted alive and well in Corriedale.

On tonight’s episode, which is airing on Sunday due to Emmerdale being cancelled earlier in the week because of the football, Rhona chooses who she wants to be with out of Graham and her husband Marlon Dingle.

In the episode, Marlon is left suspicious after Rhona lies about a house call to which he follows her to Home Farm where she tends to a bloodied Graham, who was beaten by a gang.

The unexpected intimacy between the exes leads to them almost kissing, which a devastated Marlon secretly witnesses…

Spoilers for next week have revealed what happens next as Marlon, who struggles to stay quiet, asks Rhona if she still loves Graham to which her pained look fills Marlon with utter devastation.

As Rhona tries to explain her feelings, will she break Marlon’s heart or not? Later, with Graham waiting for her outside the pub, Rhona meets him with a big decision.

The next day, Graham leaves Marlon and Paddy Dingle astonished when he misinterprets a conversation with Marlon. Heading out, Graham gets into his car and sets off at speed..

Who is Graham and what’s his past with Rhona?

Graham, a legal guardian and father figure to Joe Tate, first graced the popular ITV soap in 2017 as Joe’s right-hand man. In 2018, Graham assisted in faking Joe’s d.e.a.t.h, forcing him into hiding after Kim Tate, previously married to his grandfather Frank Tate, ordered his d.e.a.t.h.

Initially, it seemed that Cain Dingle, the father of Joe’s ex Debbie Dingle, had accidentally k.i.l.l.e.d him following a dispute, which resulted in a single punch causing Joe to hit his head on a rock.

However, it later emerged that Joe’s trusted associate Graham had concealed the reality that Joe was alive and hiding overseas, funding his lifestyle through Kim’s business ventures. Joe made his comeback during the Christmas episodes in 2024.

After Joe’s departure in 2018, Graham stepped up as Kim’s closest confidant when she returned to the village. Graham and Kim had shared an intermittent romantic connection over the years.

Viewers were heartbroken in 2020 when Graham appeared to meet his end at the hands of Pierce Harris. Graham had recently begun a relationship with Rhona, and Pierce, Rhona’s rapist ex-husband, had been freed from prison just a week before Graham’s supposed d.e.a.t.h.

However, earlier this year, it was revealed that Graham had survived and been living in concealment for several years. He has been a staple in the village ever since. Who will Rhona choose Graham or Marlon?
