Emmerdale fans have confessed they’re “scared” for a villager after Dr Todd reveals a personal detail about her life that could signal trouble in the Dales.
Caroline Harker returned to her role as Dr Todd earlier this year, but has been making Jacob Sugden’s working life unbearable after selecting him to join her mentorship programme.
Dr Todd has been stretching Jacob to his absolute limits, and matters are poised to deteriorate further for the trainee doctor as Todd has yet to encounter her equal.

During Thursday’s (April 2) episode, Jacob witnessed Dr Todd snapping at a patient and he swiftly challenged her, considering the conduct as inappropriate, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Nevertheless, she promptly disclosed that the patient was her father battling with dementia. Following their discussion where Jacob shared details about Pollard’s health condition, Todd mentioned that she had a wife at home, offering an uncommon glimpse into her personal life.
This follows Jacob landing in hot water after he incorrectly diagnosed Kim Tate with possible mushroom poisoning, a diagnosis that was subsequently exposed to be an overdose of her pain relief tablets. Discussing her comeback, Caroline Harker said: “I’m delighted to be back at Emmerdale for a longer stint playing Doctor Todd. She’s a complex character and from what I’ve been told so far, quite a tricky one for Jacob to navigate.

“Workplace bullying is commonplace, and it will be interesting to see it brought to our screens in a serial drama such as Emmerdale.”
Given Dr Todd’s reference to her wife, and with a single Vanessa Woodfield possibly seeking a new housemate, certain viewers are concerned this might signal a fresh romantic storyline in the Dales.
