Jacqueline Jossa is said to have “mentally checked out” of her marriage to Dan Osbourne. The actress, 33, who is best known for playing Lauren Branning on EastEnders, tied the knot with Towie star Dan, 34, in 2017 and they are parents to to Ella, 11, and Mia, seven.

But the former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! winner called time on her turbulent nine-year marriage last week, and insiders have claimed that there is no going back for the pair.

A source said: “Everyone knows they’ve had their troubles, but after spending some time apart this year, they’ve decided to make the split permanent.

“Their two daughters are their main priority. After all Jac’s been through, she’s finally had enough. They’ve been living separate lives all this year and she’s over it. There’s only so many times she can put herself through living in limbo and taking him back.

Speaking to The Sun, the source added: “She has mentally checked out and Dan has panicked. He’s worried the grass isn’t greener and has had the shock of his life that he’s pushed Jac too far this time!”

During their 13 years together, the soap star has repeatedly forgiven Dan, 34, despite multiple cheating claims. The pair married at Delamere Manor in Cheshire in June 2017, but split less than a year later, with Dan saying they couldn’t “make each other happy”.

They rekindled their romance in 2019, but their marriage was rocked by rumours that Dan had cheated with Love Island stars Gabby Allen and Alexandra Cane – who both denied the claims – and in 2019 by Celebrity Big Brother’s Chloe Ayling, who accused Dan of “making a fool of Jacqueline”.

In 2020, Dan admitted he had “made mistakes”, but struggled to change his ways. In March last year, he and Jac announced they had split, but a month later they jetted off on a make-or-break holiday to Mexico, which briefly appeared to get their marriage back on track.

However, in June, Dan – who has son Teddy, 12, from a previous relationship – was accused of getting close to Christine McGuinness two years earlier following her split from husband Paddy, and of being “back to his old tricks” in October 2025, after liking an influencer’s sexy bikini snaps.

Earlier this year, Jac finally accepted their union was doomed and, after months living separate lives, Dan moved out in February, with a source saying he had pushed the hardworking mum “too far”. “She does love him, but some relationships just aren’t meant to be,” said our source.

An insider recently told The Mirror that Dan wants to win Jacqueline back. A source said: “Dan is understandably upset, it’s such a shame and everyone is heartbroken. They both tried so hard to make it work.”

Later reports claimed that it was Dan who ended their nine year marriage after he could no longer ‘cope’ with EastEnders star Jacqueline’s behaviour’ as she struggled to move beyond his past indiscretions.

Our source added: “They’ve been so on and off, for Dan it never really feels over. He’ll try to come back, because in the past he always has and it’s worked. He’s desperate for them to stay as a family and win back Jac.”
