Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Episode Trailer Breakdown: Having Faith

🎬 Sistas Season 9, Episode 3 Promo Breakdown: “Having Faith”
Whew. This one’s gonna hurt.
So, we just watched that emotional-as-hell promo for next week’s episode — Season 9, Episode 3, titled “Having Faith.” And man… they are not letting up.
“It’s always been the four of us.”
“Her heart rate just dropped!”
“Help! Someone help us!”
“Please don’t let anything happen to her.”
“Is my daughter still alive in there?”
“Watch your back for the rest of your f—ing life.”
Yo. Just from the 30 seconds we got in that promo, I can already tell: next week’s episode is about to be a rollercoaster.
🔥 Episode 2 Was Top Tier
Let’s back up real quick. Episode 2 (“Do No Harm”) was fantastic. Stellar acting across the board — Karen’s pain, her mom’s fear, Zach’s breakdown, Aaron’s concern, and the Sister Circle’s emotional reactions — all felt so damn real.
It wasn’t just drama for drama’s sake — it was about grief, faith, anger, helplessness, and the horrifying reality of how Black women are often treated in medical systems. The writing nailed it, and I’ve said it already but I’ll say it again: 9/10 for Episode 2. The only thing dragging it down?
Yeah… that tired Sabrina/“Rich” nonsense 🙄.
🗣️ Let’s Talk About That Promo
This trailer? HEAVY.
It kicks off with flashbacks of the Sister Circle — the “core four” that have always held each other down. We see Sabrina hugging Fatima, group hugs, crying, praying, chaos. Then we cut back to Karen flatlining. Again. Andy panicking. Sabrina screaming. Code Blue gets called.
(And yeah — I had to Google what “Code Blue” means, but it’s serious: cardiac or respiratory arrest. Your heart or lungs stop. Literal life-or-death.)
We then see Nurse Janet asking Miss Lisa if Karen has a medical will. You can hear the mom’s heart breaking:
“Wait… is she still alive in there?!”
Zach’s off in the corner losing it. Aaron looks wrecked. Sabrina’s in the waiting room basically summing up the whole thing:
“One messed up doctor can literally put your whole life on the line.”
And then — my favorite moment of the trailer —
Zach suggests they pray.
Aaron agrees.
“That’s a good idea.”
That hit different. Especially since people were wondering why Aaron — a preacher — hadn’t done it earlier. But real talk? Even the strongest believers have moments where they’re too overwhelmed to think straight. Emotions take over. Fear clouds judgment. It’s real.
🕵️♀️ Andy vs. Dr. Cruz
Next week, Andy’s going full Olivia Pope on Dr. Cruz. The synopsis says she uncovers some deep, dark secrets — and based on that back-and-forth in the trailer?
“Karen trusted you with her life — and her babies’ lives.”
“You should spend more time worrying about your friend.”
WILD. The audacity of this man.
Karen waited hours without meds, without an ultrasound, with visible bleeding. All while this dude brushed everyone off. This is why people don’t trust the system.
😒 Sabrina’s “Hot Girl Summer” Arc?
Let’s be real: nobody cares about Sabrina’s love life right now. I know the synopsis says:
“A fed-up Sabrina takes control of her life and goes searching for direction on the wild side.”
But we already know this is just a continuation of that “Rich” convo with Maurice from Episode 2. And honestly? If this turns into another half-baked “Hot Girl Summer” moment, I’m skipping those scenes. Sabrina flip-flopping between “I want to be a mom” and “Let me act out because I’m heartbroken” is getting old. ✌️
💔 Emergency C-Section Incoming?
Judging by the hospital attire (Zach, Aaron, and Miss Lisa in scrubs), it looks like Karen’s headed for an emergency C-section. And if Karen doesn’t make it… they’re going to try and save the one baby that’s still alive.
That’s real. That’s terrifying. And that’s going to be a heartbreaker to watch.
💣 The Line That Shook Me
“Watch your back for the rest of your f—ing life.”
“For Black women… they don’t believe us until we’re dead.”
That came from Danny. And she meant every word of it. That line hit like a freight train. Because it’s not just about Karen — it’s about what happens to real women every day.
