Emmerdale teen Dylan Penders has made a surprise exit plan that could land him in even more trouble with the police.

As fans of the ITV soap will know, Dylan (Fred Kettle) and Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt) are being charged with perverting the course of justice after they helped cover up Bear Wolf’s (Joshua Richards) m.u.r.d.e.r of villain Ray Walters (Joe Absolom).

On Thursday (March 19), Dylan and Paddy arrived home after their bail hearing was brought forward, and they were released. But more trouble lay ahead.

The pair were greeted by an ecstatic April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) before Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) raised concern that neither Mandy (Lisa Riley) nor Arthur (Alfie Clarke) had been seen in a while.

Laurel then checked Arthur’s location on her phone and realised he was at the police station, where he had planned to confess to seeing Ray only minutes before his d.e.a.t.h.

Outside the police station, Aaron (Danny Miller) and Mandy were anxiously waiting for Arthur to return when Paddy and Laurel pulled up and foiled their plan.

Laurel was furious that Mandy and Aaron had allowed her son Arthur to lie to the police, but the teen soon emerged, saying he couldn’t go through with it.

Back at home, Paddy and Mandy endured a showdown over how to handle their legal troubles, while his dad, Bear, remained locked up.

As evening arrived, Dylan called April and confirmed he was leaving the village without her. He then confessed he’d posted a letter to the police saying he was the one who k.i.l.l.e.d Ray.

Emmerdale fans rushed to social media to question if Dylan Penders had left the ITV soap permanently. Taking to X, one person confessed: “Very sad about Dylan leaving #emmerdale”, as a second asked: “What is that for Dylan (shocked face) #Emmerdale.”

A third chimed in: “Dylan lost in fog forever… #Emmerdale”, while another commented: “Dylan walks the bridge of doom #Emmerdale.”
