Natalie J Robb has hinted at a huge change for Emmerdale’s Moira Dingle due to the ongoing troubles at Butlers Farm. Moira took over the farm when the Barton family arrived in the Dales in 2009, but has been struggling financially in recent months. This was made even worse by a serious leak with the slurry tank. The leak contaminated the village’s main water supply, sending Harry Sugden (played by Brody Hall) to hospital. The leak was caused by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), who knew Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) would end up being blamed.
Moira’s money troubles worsened when she was handed an eye-watering fine and those around her are determined to push her out of the farm. Having regularly filmed on the Butlers Farm set since she joined the soap, Natalie opened up about this no longer happening if things don’t go Moira’s way. Speaking to Express.co.uk and other press, Natalie confessed: “Of course she would miss it. My character has been there for 16 years and it would be very odd for it to be a change. I’m kind of hoping that some good can come from it and maybe she can get some kind of help.
“But I would miss it because it’s a really good set to work on. I’ll personally miss it so I’m sure Moira would too. I’m not sure what else she will do. If she can try and get some help then that would be wonderful but she doesn’t want to be forced to sell. At the moment she’s being forced to sell.”
The actress added: “She has all these people going behind her back. There are deals being made and people are slowly trying to push her out, especially Joe Tate.”
Moira lodged an appeal in the hopes of changing the fine, but next week discovers it has been turned down.
Moira feels even more betrayed when she discovers Joe paid people off to shut down the appeal, thus improving the likelihood of Kim Tate (Claire King) getting her hands on the farm.

“Everywhere she goes, she’s got her back against the wall and she can’t do anything about it and her stress levels are getting higher,” Natalie said.
It’s not long before Kim makes an offer, one Moira might find it difficult to refuse.
Natalie divulged: “She thinks about it at first because the offer is quite good and they still propose that she can stay on the farm as a tenant farmer, which is quite a common thing. There’s a lot of tenant farmer that do that now because they don’t have the option.
“It takes the stress off them because they still get to work there but they don’t own it. At any possible time, when a contract ends, they can leave and that can be the end of it.”
Will Kim finally push Moira out and get her hands on Butlers Farm?
